Even before he debuted on TV there was a lot of talk about Brock and his Shooting Star Press. Did he ever do it on any of the development shows or has it only been talked about? Has anyone here actually seen him do it?

The story I've always heard is yes, the man can do an SSP, but he just hasn't on television.  Everything I heard about him before he showed up was that he used that move as his finish in the OVW.

I'm pretty sure they'll add it once he starts real matches as the insane moves that he never hits cos they'd be DEAD sorta thing. I'm sure he could hit it ok, the vadersault would be worse to take.

I believe that even in one of his first interviews on WWF.com, they mentioned the SSP. They gave some lame story about them not wanting to unveil his moveset too soon and all at once.

Yeah I've heard he can do it but it seems like WWE are just going to keep it under wraps until he's established that way it has a massive impact to the crowd when they see it. They build him up as a monster and then unveil that he can do that to the masses, that would put him over huge in one go I reckon.

i could see Brock doing his ssp at say the beginning of his first baby face turn or in his first gimmick match to beat a main event guy

He should do it sparingly and only as a last resort finisher.  Like the Tombstone or EF.

Well lets see. We know he can, so the actual question to ask is May Brock do a SSP? The Answer?

Not in this lifetime in the WWF.  The last thing the WWF needs is for him to land the wrong way and severely injure nay worse with that move.

I know someone who has seen him pull off the move in a match and he said it's a truly impressive sight watching that giant man fly like that.

 

He'll do it on WWF tv. He may not do it alot as i'm sure some guys won't want to take it, but he'll do it.

The story I heard was that the WW(F)E has such big plans for Lesnar, with so much money invested in him, that they can't take the chance of him regularly using a move as dangerous as the SSP.  Remember that Kidman stopped using it because there was too much risk, and he only weighs half of what Brock does.

But Kidman's busted it out a number of times in the WWF. Anyway, once Brock does it, Kidman better find a new finisher. Unless Brock's sucks--which apparently it doesn't--who wants to see a small guy like Kidman do it? Okay, I would, but I'm probably in the minority.
