Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Even before he debuted on TV there was a lot of talk about Brock and his Shooting Star Press. Did he ever do it on any of the development shows or has it only been talked about? Has anyone here actually seen him do it?
Guest caboose Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 I but he could, probably collapse someone's lung though when he landed.
Guest muzanisa Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 go to ovwrestling.com. They'll have tapes and yes he can do it.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 He can, but I don't imagine the WWF...sorry, WWE will ever let him use it.
Guest big Dante Cruz Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 The story I've always heard is yes, the man can do an SSP, but he just hasn't on television. Everything I heard about him before he showed up was that he used that move as his finish in the OVW.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 I'm pretty sure they'll add it once he starts real matches as the insane moves that he never hits cos they'd be DEAD sorta thing. I'm sure he could hit it ok, the vadersault would be worse to take.
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 I believe that even in one of his first interviews on WWF.com, they mentioned the SSP. They gave some lame story about them not wanting to unveil his moveset too soon and all at once.
Guest Posted May 8, 2002 Report Posted May 8, 2002 Yeah I've heard he can do it but it seems like WWE are just going to keep it under wraps until he's established that way it has a massive impact to the crowd when they see it. They build him up as a monster and then unveil that he can do that to the masses, that would put him over huge in one go I reckon.
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 i could see Brock doing his ssp at say the beginning of his first baby face turn or in his first gimmick match to beat a main event guy
Guest art_vandelay Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 He should do it sparingly and only as a last resort finisher. Like the Tombstone or EF.
Guest Nevermortal Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I guarantee once he does the SSP, he becomes a face.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Well lets see. We know he can, so the actual question to ask is May Brock do a SSP? The Answer? Not in this lifetime in the WWF. The last thing the WWF needs is for him to land the wrong way and severely injure nay worse with that move.
Guest Sykotic2002 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Are you sure Brcok does the SSP? I thought it was Shelton Benjerman who did it.
Guest Big Poppa Popick Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Brock does it...for shizzle and hell bust it out when he hits Heyman with it...you heard it hear first
Guest El Satanico Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I know someone who has seen him pull off the move in a match and he said it's a truly impressive sight watching that giant man fly like that. He'll do it on WWF tv. He may not do it alot as i'm sure some guys won't want to take it, but he'll do it.
Guest dpac Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 shelton benjermin, another former UofM wrestler , and Brock's former tag partner does the 450 splash,,and Brock has the ssp
Guest J*ingus Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 The story I heard was that the WW(F)E has such big plans for Lesnar, with so much money invested in him, that they can't take the chance of him regularly using a move as dangerous as the SSP. Remember that Kidman stopped using it because there was too much risk, and he only weighs half of what Brock does.
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Remember that Kidman stopped using it because there was too much risk, and he only weighs half of what Brock does. But Kidman's busted it out a number of times in the WWF. Anyway, once Brock does it, Kidman better find a new finisher. Unless Brock's sucks--which apparently it doesn't--who wants to see a small guy like Kidman do it? Okay, I would, but I'm probably in the minority.
