Guest Risk Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 First off, I refuse to call Vince's wrestling company "WWE". I will refer to his company as "The Company Formally Known As WWFE"(TCFKA WWFE). Anyways, in this thread you can hire or fire AS MANY wrestlers as you want to TCFKA WWF. It DOESN'T matter who they are, the only exception is Vince. You can hire/fire male wrestlers, female wrestlers, commentators, managers, valets, writers, bookers, ect al.

Guest El Satanico Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 My choices are as follows: Fired Stephanie McMahon Pat Patterson Steve Lombardi Gerwitz (don't know his first name) Terri Rikishi Paul Wight Bossman Albert DDP Hulk Hogan Kevin Nash X-Pac Bradshaw Bradshaw Bull Buchanan Haku Crash Bob Holly Godfather Hugh Morrus Mark Henry Maven Nidia Funaki Spike Dudley Bubba Ray Dudley Michael Cole Jerry Lawler I agree with most of your list... Pat Patterson: He works backstage and there's really no reason to want him fired(unless he suggested getting hogan or pushing bradshaw). Steve Lombardi: I'm sure he's not getting paid for wrestling and probably has some sort of backstage job so no reason to fire him. DDP: i'm sure they can find him a job backstage when he gives in to doctor's wishes and retires. So unless there are no backstage jobs for him or he doesnt want a backstage job no reason to fire him. Bull Buchanan: He's big and somewhat agile so they can do something with him. Spike Dudley: has some value and guys that are good at taking big bumps are always nice to have around. Bubba Ray Dudley: has value as a tag team partner if nothing else. Michael Cole: keep him for the video packages but take him off TV.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 why do we do a version of this thread every week?
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I think the writer that you're thinking of is Brian Gewirtz. Just curious, but does anyone know who else is on the writing team. I think Steph, Paul Heyman, Vince, and them are all part of the creative team but do not actually write the shows. Anyone know the other writers names?
Guest Risk Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Patterson is a sexual predator and Lombardi is his bitch. Check out some of the WWF sex scandals, Patterson was involved. I guess DDP could do some stuff backstage or become a manager again(after he heals some). As long as Cole is off TV then I'm happy.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 why fire Hugh Morrus? he's not the greatest wrestler in the world but he always shows up and always gives a 110%
Guest Rob Van Dam Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Fired Test - Sucks at wrestling. Stephanie McMahon - Sucks at Booking Albert - His look sucks, no charisma Bossman - Sucks Godfather - Hasn't been over for years Bradshaw - Backstage Incidents X-Pac, Kevin Nash, HHH, Shawn Michaels - Get the Kliq out of the wwf Jim Ross - Does nothing but put down their own stars Hired Low Ki - Excellent for cruiserweight division, Tajiri vs Low Ki would be unbelievable Scott Steiner and Goldberg - They need more big names Christopher Daniels - Excellent Wrestler Danny Doring and Roadkill - They need more actual tag teams Da Hit Squad - See above Super Crazy and Rey Misterio Jr. - cruiserweight division Norman Smiley - So he can kill Chavo's Pepe again Big Vito and Konnan - WWF could make them big Jeff Jarrett and Sting - Proven stars Daffney - excellent to the women's division Joey Styles - stick him on raw with the king Joel Gertner - stick him with Cole on Smackdown Also wwf already has Ekmo, kimo, Prototype, RC Haas, Shelton Benjamin signed to contracts
Guest converge241 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 ok fired: Show: just have to give up on him, until he loses weight for real Mark Henry: I just dont see any potential and he is not over Godfather: age, character just burnt out Terri: brings nothing to the table Debra: see above Jeff Hardy: downturn in appearance, think matt can turn out better as a singles Guewitz: or whatever writer is responsiblke for always ripping off situations from TV or movies thats it for fired. there are otheres that i dont like, but understand that you need novelties to pop crowd/talented jobbers (Rikishi, Spike, Crash) or guys i dont care about but put forth some effort (Morrus, Albert) who i would hire: Lenny Lane (as a Jericho sidekick/stalker, like he was in WCW) Little Guido Low KI American Dragon Chris Daniels Nicho/psichosis (all for the cruiserweight division) I would also try to lure away a talented junior heavyweight from Japan. I wont pretend to know a lot about any of the Japan feds, but I would scout them and draw one away, push asa cruiserweight minus any steretypical push/character. Mike Modest (not as a cruise) Sabu , just for a run with RVD Konnan. he really could get a crowd behind him La Parka, a cult figure to attach on to and I would do whatever it took to get Bret Hart for one last sendoff run.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Big Vito and Konnan - WWF could make them big Konnan. he really could get a crowd behind him Good Lord, no! You're firing guys for "bringing nothing to the table" and "sucks at wrestling", yet you want to hire Konnan? Did you guys even watch him in WCW? Sabu , just for a run with RVD Let's see, take a broken down garbage wrestler who can't cut a promo & feud him w/ one of your most-over guys. Hmmm, somehow I don't see that happening. And if you want some tag teams, I'd hire Swinger/Diamond
Guest buffybeast Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I find it very funny that some people would fire guys who are over like HHH and Taker, even guys who are semi over like Test and replace them with smaller indie guys who have little charisma and probably not get over with the casual WWF fan.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I would hire Lance Storm and Christian. What do you mean they already work for the WWE?
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 fired: shawn michaels - getting paid for sitting on his ass. plus he's a d-bag. rikishi - for lack of motivation and not trying in the ring. albert - hasn't had a good match yet, and has a horrible look. bull buchanan - his career is in the same state as when he entered the wwe. christian - put him back with edge or shitcan him. d'lo brown - hasn't impressed me since returning and he never has. d-von - with the gimmick he has been given he might as well be fired right now. haku - haku, haku, where are you!!! mark henry - too many bad gimmicks have killed his young career all ready. steve blackman - [homer] borrringgg [/homer] terri - why is she an interviewer now? william regal - i was once a fan but his wcw days are long behind him and slow boring era has arrived. kevin kelly - horrible at interviews, play by play, and shilling. michael cole - get off smackdown bitch, there's new announcers coming to town. hired aj styles - great young cruiserweight chris daniels - see styles jeff jarrett - solid main event guy. sid - he just makes me laugh (which is why half of the guys on the current wwe roster are employed by vince) little guido - unbelievably underrated. tony mamaluke - see guido jerry lynn - one of the best in the business. joey styles - will replace michael cole joel gertner - would fit in with the wwe so well it isn't even funny daffney - great valet who can wrestle a little and bump too. francine - she's hot and would make a perfect valet for tommy dreamer. low-ki - great talent. bobby heenan - greatest color man of all time. sting - could be undisputed champion in a second in the wwf. sabu - all i can say is i love the guy. bill alphonso - see sabu sandman - see sabu
Guest converge241 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Konnan. he really could get a crowd behind him Good Lord, no! You're firing guys for "bringing nothing to the table" and "sucks at wrestling", yet you want to hire Konnan? Did you guys even watch him in WCW? i listed what he brings see: gets the crowd behind him: i.e. fans care. Sabu , just for a run with RVD Let's see, take a broken down garbage wrestler who can't cut a promo & feud him w/ one of your most-over guys. Hmmm, somehow I don't see that happening thats why its a short run. and you have heyman talk for him, but apparantley you have logistic control over this fantasy as you dont see that happening
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Get the belt to Jericho, FIRE Hogan Fire Nash, Big Show, The Hardys, Lita, Trish, Maven, The Rock, Stephanie Hire/Bring Up Sean O'Haire, Mike Sanders, Low-ki, AJ Styles, Hennig again and actually USE HIM PROPERLY, Shelton Benjamin, Prototype, Ron Waterman, Victoria
Guest Just call me Dan Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Fire: Lawler, Bossman, Xpac, Goldust,Henry Hire: Steiner, Jarrett, Goldberg, Styles Lawler pisses me off and I think he's lost any comedic relief he ever had ( if any) Bossman is too old and just not up to par anymore. There are a few more in now that are the same, but he's so unover. Xpac - he's at a dead end, he'd be better off with Hall Goldust - stale and no credibility, holding down Booker and just really doesn't have a chance Henry: no potential Steiner: nWo, big name, credibility, good look Jarrett: cut off new promotion, solid worker, new face, miss guitar shots Goldberg - big money, fun Joey Styles: Excellent, we need more emotion and less southern catchphrases
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Get the belt to Jericho, FIRE Hogan Fire Nash, Big Show, The Hardys, Lita, Trish, Maven, The Rock, Stephanie Hire/Bring Up Sean O'Haire, Mike Sanders, Low-ki, AJ Styles, Hennig again and actually USE HIM PROPERLY, Shelton Benjamin, Prototype, Ron Waterman, Victoria I have to strongly disagree with firing Trish. She has been working her sexy ass off in the ring. She, Molly, and Jazz have made the once horrendous women's division better than a lot of the crap the guys put on. I've also seen Ron Waterman and I don't think he's anything special at all. Fire: Nash Big Show Albert Test Maven(not fire necessarily, but get him into development full-time) Bossman Mark Henry Bradshaw Hardcore Holly Taz(I would give him a backstage job, not fire. Like development or something.) Michael Cole Hogan(Stop him from wrestling anymore, at the very least) Sean Stasiak Hire: AJ Styles Chris Daniels Low-Ki Nova(and stick him with the Hurricane as a tag team) Jerry Lynn Super Crazy Rey Misterio(not sure if they signed him or not) Beulah(DON'T CARE WHAT SHE'S DOING. I WANT BEULAH!!! ::rocks back and forth in corner: Joey Styles(takes Cole's spot on SD) Don Callis(takes Taz's spot on SD) Joel Gertner(can work in booking and do commentary on one of the secondary shows) Bobby Heenan(replaces Lawler on Raw. Put Lawler some place else, wouldn't fire him though) Mike Modest TAKA(not sure with the deal is with him. But they should use him seriously)
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 i listed what he brings see: gets the crowd behind him: i.e. fans care. ... thats why its a short run. and you have heyman talk for him, but apparantley you have logistic control over this fantasy as you dont see that happening But WWF fans aren't going to get behind Konnan. And even if by some small miracle they do, his ring-work will change their minds. He gets blown-up 2 minutes into the match, and bumps horribly. Trust me - you don't want Konnan. As for Sabu, if you like him, great. I just don't see any upside to signing him. There's no way he could wrestle his style, so it would be useless to bring him in.

I love Sabu, but he wouldn't fit in with the WWF.
Guest converge241 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 aaaargh! i dont even like Sabu or Konnan..id be keeping guys i dont like or who cant work on the roster.. its supposed to be a little something for everybody..Konnan was one of the few wrestlers that WWF fans knew about besides Goldberg and others during the downswing. I never said he could work and i dont care , if i was running the compnay, it wouldnt be 100 great workers or guys that only i like. WWF fans are not conditioned to care about ring work, so i wouldnt be changing things overnight and putting "joe WWF" into shock by having a workathon sabu cant have a series of hardcore matches with RVD? What, RVD couldnt be involved with the Hardcore title? Boy my IMAGINARY wwf is in trouble better get Swinger and Diamond to get those IMAGINARY fans back.
Guest converge241 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 and thats not a crack against Swinger and Diamond.. I like both wrestlers, just to make my point and all.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 sabu cant have a series of hardcore matches with RVD? What, RVD couldnt be involved with the Hardcore title? At this point, I would think RVD would be way above feuding for the Hardcore Title. And back to Konnan, I would bet that if he showed up on WWF TV, the majority of fans would have no idea who he was. Konnan hasn't been seen on TV in over a year, and I can't even remember if Konnan *was* doing anything in WCW in its final days, and I watched WCW every week. At least Goldberg was a top name, and has kept himself somewhat visible.
Guest converge241 Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 At this point, I would think RVD would be way above feuding for the Hardcore Title. well chief the point was he has been associated , so he can have a series of house show matches and one tv match hardcore style.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Well, Jericho once held the Cruiserweight Title, so would it be a good idea for him now to feud for it?
Guest converge241 Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Well, Jericho once held the Cruiserweight Title, so would it be a good idea for him now to feud for it? he wouldnt feud over it: re-read hardcore style.hardcore style.hardcore style.hardcore style.hardcore style. not hardcore title! meaning RVD is not adverse to working a Hardcore STYLE , you know they type of style sabu has to work?
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 he wouldnt feud over it: re-read ... not hardcore title! meaning RVD is not adverse to working a Hardcore STYLE , you know they type of style sabu has to work? Ok... sabu cant have a series of hardcore matches with RVD? What, RVD couldnt be involved with the Hardcore title? Sounded like a feud for the HC Title to me. And there's no way Sabu would get to work his style in the WWF. He'd have to tone it way down, so what's the point of even bringing him in? I guess now, we should also pull out the dreaded "Agree to disagree", since neither of us is going to change our minds.
