Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 "Horace Hogan has signed a WWE developmental deal and has already reported to the Heartland Wrestling Association in Cincinnati. Hogan made his debut at the weekly Tuesday night show at the training school on 5/7, doing a run-in with Lance Cade attacking tag team champions Cody Hawk and Ice Cream Man to set up a ladder match between the two teams for the next night in Dayton, OH. Hogan will be managed by Brock Guffman, with the idea that Guffman as the mouthpiece will help him get over." 1wrestling.com This guy sucked ass in WCW while he was there, so there is no way WWF chose to give this guy a developmental deal for his talent. Also, his mic skills sucked ass and he has a horrible look. Hogan must be pulling strings to get guys in the WWF.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 According to the guys at Death Valley Driver (not Hulk fans by any stretch of the imagination) Horace has gotten much better since leaving WCW and going to Puerto Rico. I can't say anything personally since I haven't seen the tapes, but I'll take their word for it until I see otherwise.
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 UGH. Oh well, maybe Earthquake will return too, I like him.
Guest razazteca Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Horace Hogan & Mike Awesome will be the next tag team champion!!!!!!!!!!! where's Brutus?
Guest TheMikeSC Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Gee, and people giggled when people opined that Hogan would, inevitably, bring his less-gifted hangers-on into the WWE at some point. -=Mike ...Figuring they'll let Billy & Chuck hold the straps until they can sign the Nasty Boys or something
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Great, just what we need: ANOTHER Hogan. He always has and always will suck, so I don't see any positive coming out of this. If he bombs, they could easily blame it on Angle and Jericho.
Guest Luke Michael Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Can't wait to see all the new talent that will be coming into the WWF soon...Horace, Earthquake, Brutus, Bobby Heenan, Mene Gene...heck I bet he'll probally get Liz a job too.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I bet Horace still sucks, regardless of his improvement in PR.
Guest J*ingus Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I think a lot of you are missing the important part: developmental deal and has already reported to the Heartland Wrestling Association in Cincinnati Now, if Horace came right into the WW(F)E proper, I'd agree with you. But having him down in Les Thatcher's camp, in front of 200 people for less than a grand a week? That's not a big deal, especially if he really has improved like people say.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Nobody wanted to se Horace Hogan when he was in WCW, nobody wants to see him now. Who the hell wants to see some balding, spindly legged guy with bad knees whose name is Hogan?
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 the H-BOMB BAYBEE~! Quick someone find the barber! Seriously though they shouldn't be signing anybody to new contracts much less Hogan's nephew.
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Do you people think that Hogan honestly has any stroke in the WWE? He is the champion but Vince wouldn't hesitate to fire his ass in a second if he starts that politcal shit. You smarks really give Hogan a lot more credit then he deserves.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Well...I enjoyed him in the B Team. After that, he was pretty much useless to me. I will never forget one time he cut a face promo to absolute silence, then, the heel, Goldberg, came out to a big face pop. It was actually kind of funny, now that I think about it.
Guest Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 I doubt Hogan has that much backstage stroke but he probably at least suggested it to Vince after seeing Horace in wcw theres no way he's improved that much that Vince took notice of him Damn he sucks I really hope he never makes it up to WWEgh
Guest Anglesault Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Can't wait to see all the new talent that will be coming into the WWF soon...Horace, Earthquake, Brutus, Bobby Heenan, Mene Gene...heck I bet he'll probally get Liz a job too. HEY! Watch the Liz Bashing!
Guest Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Yea whats wrong with Liz, Bobby Heenan, Mene Gene none are wrestlers or whinny announcers like Cole they could fill a role better than Ed Beefcake Jim Duggan or other Hogan cronies
Guest Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Actually Horace had some pretty decent matches when I saw tapes of him wrestle as "Predator" (before his WCW stint). Actually wasn't too bad at the hardcore style, either. I think the problem was that he gained weight while in WCW, which made him slower. It's been a while since we've seen him, so maybe he's slimmed down.
Guest Redhawk Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 I think a lot of you are missing the important part: developmental deal and has already reported to the Heartland Wrestling Association in Cincinnati Now, if Horace came right into the WW(F)E proper, I'd agree with you. There's no way they would have signed him to ANY deal without Uncle Hollywood around. If the WWE brought Horace straight to the WWE proper, the other wrestlers would have been pissed. So they had to ship him to the minors to give the illusion that this was a talent-based signing. Put it like this: I'll bet we see Horace on WWE TV before we see David Flair or Sara Taker.
Guest Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 I just gotta say...I remember being pretty impressed with Horace during the New Blood angle actually, not only myself but of people on the old board liked Horace for that month or two
Guest J*ingus Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Put it like this: I'll bet we see Horace on WWE TV before we see David Flair or Sara Taker. I'd say that Horace is more talented than David and Sara put together.
Guest Austin3164life Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 If Hogan is trying to pull strings in the WWE by bringing in another heatless and talentless loser, than that shows another reason why Hogan just flat out sucks and never should've been hired. If I see Horace on my television, I am just going to keep watching more and more of the NBA playoffs (which I am doing a lot more).......
Guest Redhawk Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Put it like this: I'll bet we see Horace on WWE TV before we see David Flair or Sara Taker. I'd say that Horace is more talented than David and Sara put together. He probably is, but he won't have to "pay his dues" as long as they will. All three are examples of pure nepotism, so now I guess we'll see who has the most stroke -- Ric Flair, Undertaker, or Hulk Hogan.
Guest Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Sara Taker has a developmental contract. Before I forget..........Horace = fucking shitty wrestler with no heat

Have you been watching wrestling lately?
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Hey, I didn't mind Horace when he was in WCW. He actually busted out a tope suicida in one match.
Guest Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 He probably is, but he won't have to "pay his dues" as long as they will. All three are examples of pure nepotism, so now I guess we'll see who has the most stroke -- Ric Flair, Undertaker, or Hulk Hogan. Give me a break! When was the last time that guys like Maven had to "pay their dues?" What, three months in OVW? If even that. I didn't notice Chuck Palumbo "paying any dues" yet he was kept on TV, over guys like Jindrak & O'Haire. All of this "paying your dues" stuff is bullshit these days. It's another way of saying "We don't like you right now, but try again in a few years." Besides, it's not as if wrestling (WWE) is even that much of a respectable sport these days that paying any kind of dues even matters anyways. It's a fucking spectacle compared to what we used to watch.
Guest Ripper Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 It is a DEVELOPMENTAL DEAL. If you go to wrestling school, and have the right look, you can get a developmental deal. It isn't that much. That Matt dude from TE2 got a developmental deal...is hogan pulling strings for him too. You will probably NEVER see horace on WWF(E) tv. He is just another big guy with experience to toss in with the young guys at HWA.
Guest Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Put it like this: I'll bet we see Horace on WWE TV before we see David Flair or Sara Taker. Sara is getting trained down in OVW/HWA?
