Why all the hostility towards the wwf

Based on the 1994 agreement between the two WWFs, the wrestling WWF is supposed to use "World Wrestling Federation" and not "WWF".

Vince broke the agreement.

That's all there is to it.

The "panda fuckers" aren't being out of line - if Vince didn't want the agreement, he shouldn't have signed it.

Where's the beef with the panda WWF?

Have you even been paying attention to what's going on lately? Or even read the latest thread?

WWF lost out in court, to the WWFund (who I think were right to sue the Federation, by the way). They decided to change their name to WWE, so this thing could be over and done with.

But basically, the WWFund apparently still aren't happy, as they wanted a bigger change for the WWFederation. Now they're thinking about prsuing further court actions against the WWFederation, who did change, which is all the WWFund really wanted to happen in the first place.

So, the WWFund is getting greedy and are about to attempt and get another one up on the Federation. WWF changed their initials and everything, like the Fund asked. But still, the Fund pursues.

THAT is my gripe with them, not the fact that they sued in the first place.

Exactly.  The WWF was right, which is why they won the rights to the name.  But they have no right to complaing about the name WWE (or even WWFE for that matter).

You all DO know why the World Wildlife Fund hates Vince and the WWE right? Because everytime Billy Gunn blows a spot, a baby panda dies. Everytime Stephanie cuts a promo, an endangered eagle falls from the sky. And everytime Mark Henry gets a push, cute little baby dolphins get tangled in fishing nets. It's true it's true, I  heard it once on the Discovery Channel.........

""Clear water" "

Which means what exactly? Clear water isn't a legal term for anything by any stretch of the imagination. As I said in another thread, WWW (world wide web) is also pretty close, are they going to try and get that changed as well? Hell, at this point Microsoft is losing the Windows vs. Lindows argument, and that's MUCH stronger than WWF vs. WWE in my opinion.

At least it wasn't something as bland and predictable as that.

No one's gonna confuse the World Wildlife Fund with the World Wrestling Federation.  It was silly for the WWFund to waste everybody's time and money with the lawsuit, but Vince brought it on himself by signing the agreement in the first place.  He can't do whatever he wants; if he wasn't going to abide by it, he shouldn't have signed it.  He probably could've waved his checkbook in front of them or something, assuming he had other options besides handing over the name.

Now that he's has complied with them, this should all be over and done ... yet now the WWFund is upset over the new name.  It's fucking ridiculous and reeks of a petty grudge.

Not unique opinions, but they're mine.
