Guest The Great Wesuke Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Yeah! Starting the Heat thread! This rules! Start posting now people!
Guest The Great Wesuke Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Ummm.... is Heat even on this week?
Guest Choken One Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 I'd imagine so, unless MTV decided to anal fuck us with All weekend Real World Marathon.
Guest art_vandelay Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Why are you starting a Heat thread 2 days before it even airs?
Guest Choken One Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Well, Like DUh. EVERYONE knows that WWE HEAT is the most popular Cable show today! There's just so much to talk about, I don't know if we can get it all in before it comes on.
Guest The Great Wesuke Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Dag yo... two days is not to soon to start talking about THE hottest show on the planet! Actually, I just hadn't heard what the matches/results are and was hoping someone would post them. I gotsta get my Heat fix!
Guest art_vandelay Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Ha ha... I see. I guess some of us just can't go by the weekend without the witty mannerisms of The Coach, the edge-of-your-seat excitement of Raw and Tough Enough recaps, and the unparalled charisma of the Boss Man. Excuse my interruption, please proceed.
Guest razazteca Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 so what will the ECW guys do this week who will Tommy Dreamer beat this week, what will Richards still be Hardcore champ, and what about Justin Credible? got Spoilers?
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Nah, no spoilers, but I'd like to know if anyone can give a non-spoiler list of matches. And why is everybody hating on HeAT? It's easily the most solid show in the WWE line-up right now. It's got their best announcer (Raven), some of their best wrestlers/midcarders (OK, except for Bossman), and admittedly a bit too much useless recap, but it's still consistently a good show. Plus, no Hogan ruining every segment (of course, this stems from the fact that there usually aren't any segments, but still...)! Anyway, anyone got a non-spoiler list of matches this week?
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Best announcer? Raven? Pshaw. Well sure, I am a little biased, but who is then? JR, the self-parodying shill? Lawler, the unfunny perverted old man? Cole, the annoying shill? I'm really interested to know... I mean current WWE TV, not of all time.
Guest The Great Wesuke Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Well I'm glad the Heat thread has been met with such a positive response. I do agree, Heat and Metal/Jakked most of the time have better matches than on Raw/Smackdown. Actually, my favorite show over the past few months has been Excess. All the highlights and good stuff that I need to see... none of the filler and crap. I havn't watched a Raw or Smackdown since Backlash because of the great show known as Excess and I've got tonnes of hours to spare during the week. I have taken up some old hobbies once again myself, such as bike riding and public nudity. What have you taken to doing while wrestling is in the toilet? Or do you simply continue to watch and complain?
Guest Will Scarlet Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Heat has been ruling it lately, in my opinion. It has been more enjoyable than any of the other WWF shows lately, even though, that is not saying much. This week's episode looks to suck though with RVD/Dust, Guerrero/Dreamer, and maybe or maybe not Perfect/Jeff Hardy. The matches seemed short, so I detect a lot of crappy recaps of this week's terrible Raw. I am not sure my sanity can take it.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 RVD vs. Goldust is on HeAT? And to think... just a couple months ago that was on a PPV
Guest Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 The reason for the shortness of this week's Heat matches is that, according to reports, they got started late. Presumably, this has something to with the production staff not yet being finished with scripting that night's show. Or maybe they were just waiting for Scott Hall to sober up so they could get one more night's work out of him.
Guest JMTapes Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 "I've got tonnes of hours to spare during the week. I have taken up some old hobbies once again myself, such as bike riding and.public nudity" That made me laugh so hard. -Jim
Guest The Great Wesuke Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 bump... but really though, what are all of you doing now that wrestling is in the toilet?
Guest Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 If I still watched between 92-98, then Hell, I can handle this "slump."
Guest The Great Wesuke Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 I suppose so... but there is a lot more crap now than there was then. About six or so more hours of crap that is.
Guest Goodear Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 If I still watched between 92-98, then Hell, I can handle this "slump." Seriously, if this is a slump, what was Diesel vs. Mable? The Apocalpse?
Guest Will Scarlet Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 really though, what are all of you doing now that wrestling is in the toilet? Well, I know I am watching the Learning Channel more now, instead of Smackdown. I even learned a bit more about Ramses the Great. I hope they show some more good stuff on TLC next Thursday, instead of reruns, and a documentary on the Gulag. Ah well, I guess I cannot win them all.
Guest nWoScorpion Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Rob Van dam Vs. goldust tommy Dreamer Vs. eddie guerrero Matt HArdy Vs. Mr. Perfect (unless the edit it out)
Guest The Great Wesuke Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Yes, the time has come... we are just hours away from the hottest program to grace the airwaves on Sunday night! Will we see the final WWF match from Mr. Perfect? Find out tonight!
Guest chirs3 Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Responding to waaaay up there, about the commentators... At the moment, Ross is the best. I don't see much of anything wrong with him at the moment. He's not the best ever, and his calling of Flair's heel turn (in combonation with crowd reaction and Flair's lack of mic skills) ruined the segment... But he's the best they've got, and pretty good at that.
Guest The Great Wesuke Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Wrestling sucks. This made me laugh pretty hard. This is what I usually tell people when I go to see wrestling live. Fan #1: Yah! Yah! Stone Cold! Stone Cold! Fan #2: What? What? What? Me: I don't even like wrestling! Fan #1: Tri-Ple-H! Tri-Ple-H! Me: This is all fake and you know it!
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Well, I know I am watching the Learning Channel more now, instead of Smackdown. I even learned a bit more about Ramses the Great. I hope they show some more good stuff on TLC next Thursday, instead of reruns, and a documentary on the Gulag. Ah well, I guess I cannot win them all. Ahhh... but the REAL question is, when will the cross-over occur so we can see the dream match of Ramses the Great vs. Mathayus? And as for JR being the best announcer right now? I don't find him very insightful at all, which I do for Raven. That's what I look for in an announcer, someone who can make a match seem more important and enjoyable and the wrestlers more knowledgable (which isn't always apparent), not just shill the main event.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Rob Van dam Vs. goldust tommy Dreamer Vs. eddie guerrero Matt HArdy Vs. Mr. Perfect (unless the edit it out) Is Dreamer vs. Guerrero a title match or non-title?
Guest The Great Wesuke Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Is Dreamer vs. Guerrero a title match or non-title? I don't think it really matters.
