I only caught the tail end of his promo... but why?  Why?

Did they even give a reason for all that stupid stuff he was doing?

Because he's Tommy Dreamer....and he's EXTREME~!

No they did not provide a reason behing Dreamer's new weird behavior.  But I guess Dreamer is in line for a push.

Don't get too upset.  Dreamer is getting added television time on RAW.

Just what the WWF needs. Another old broken down wrestler(who was never very good in the first place) to get a push.

Dreamer has been tearing up the house shows, and apparently you haven't been watching heat and jakked because it is obvious that Tommy has gotten the chance to heal up and is really benifiting from the not landing on concrete floors every night aspect of the WWF.  I have no problem with him getting a push.

Right on. The segment may have been silly but it made me laugh out loud and, given the overall low quality of last night's show, was one of the best segments of the night. Better a "broken-down" Dreamer gets pushed, in my mind, than Bradshaw, Hogan, X-Pac, Nash, or Big Show...

People often assume that getting more airtime is a good thing. I know it's early, but I don't see how what they're doing with Dreamer (whom I am indifferent to, by the way) is going to help him any. Perry Saturn received plenty of airtime last year for being sexually fixated with a mop, and he didn't come out any better for it.

Ahh Tommy Dreamer, getting the Tom Green push..

is he going to do gross stuff in the ring..like take his shirt off?

j/k he looks in better shape than his ecw days

Well, let's look at it from a wrestler's perspective.  More airtime equals more money.

So if drinking toilet water or making love to a mop (or Terri for that matter) gets the wrestler more tv time, it gets him more money.

Also, if a wrestler is given a shitty gimmick, but he doesn't complain and bust his ass every night, that lets the front office know he is a good worker.  I suspect they'll remember that in the future.

I've seen his matches on Heat. And I don't like them. I don't like Tommy Dreamer at all. Period.

Sorry you feel that way Damaramu.  Did you ever see his matches with Raven back in their primes?

Also, supposedly the skits are actually kinda close to the way Dreamer is in real life.  He's got a rep as a Jackass type who'll do anything, like eat food out of the garbage, just to get a reaction.

Your sorry I feel that way? What is he some great worker that I have to like and if I don't you feel sorry for me because I don't like him? Hey I hate Tommy Dreamer. And I hate most of the old ECW stars. Deal with it. And don't be sorry.

And yes I did see those matches. The matches weren't great but the storyline was awesome.

So Dreamer's becoming a Bushwacker?

"Cousin Tommy?"

Sounds more like a Mafia gimmick to me...

Calm down fella, I'm not one of the "if you don't like my favorite wrestlers then YOU SUCK" idiots like some of the elitists around here.  I just meant that I enjoy Tommy's work, and I'm sorry that you don't.

Hey, I'm a fan of watching guys get a chance rather than sitting on their ass out back while everyone else gets to be on TV. I know its wacky and weird, but if this new gimmick gets Tommy on TV and gives him an opportunity, the more power to 'em.

I read today that this new gimmick was Dreamer's idea.  So everyone can stop blaming WWF.

And that explains why D-Lo is getting pushed sooooo much right now.

Otherwise, I'm not really sure why seeing Dreamer drink water out of a urinal is either supposed to be funny or equal any sort of a push.  Dreamer has been tearing it up on the secondary shows, but this bullshit isn't going to do his career any favors.

Oh sure it is. I'm sure that when marks think of athletic talent-urinal drinking immediatly flashes to mind. GOOD JOB VINCE!

Dlo was a whole different case, Blak.  He also was fat and slovenly when he was sent down to Puerto Rico.

He is getting tv time which is something he wasn't getting before.  So in essence he is getting a push.

I'd rather see Dreamer get a push than about 80% of the Raw roster right now.  I know he is broken down but at least the guy tries hard.  He's been looking pretty decent on Heat lately as well, though he's been jobbing.  Hell, he had a better match with Eddie on Heat than the piece of shit Eddie had with Stasiak.  Dreamer has enough of a fanbase that this weird gimmick might get over on a cult level.

I don't like it either.  Tommy deserves much more than this bullshit gimmink, but on the other hand if it gets him on TV more then it might be ok.  I have noticed on the last few Heat episodes that the fans are really gerrt behind Tommy during his matches so maybe the wwe is just looking to expose him a little more to the fans and see if he catches on.

Drinking toilet water never got anyone over.  It didn't work for Al Greene, and it won't work for Tommy Dreamer....

Brian Pillman once drank toilet water, and he's DEAD. Toilet water is bad for you, kids.

I'm just glad that one of my favorites is finally getting some decient tv time...granted, he's no Kawada...but Tommy always works hard and puts on enjoyable matches...

And without Tommy Dreamer the Dudley Boyz would have never been big time, same with Raven and Credible.

So in closing...Tommy Dreamer is good for wrestling...even if he's drinking toliet water and sniffing his own farts (hasn't happened yet, but I'm sure it will)

When did Pillman drink toilet water?

I think its weird the fans are reacting to Tommy on Heat. What has he ever done in the WWF? I dont think that many people remember him from ECW since he never got pops in the Alliance.

That Tommy segment should be used as part of an anti-drug campaign.

Or reason #534 as to why children should not do backyard wrestling.

I think he's talking about KOTR 97 when Austin dunked him.

Yeah but that's not the same as doing it on purpose. Besides, Pillman probably held his breath:)

I like Tommy Dreamer.

I'd love to see more of him. Maybe not with this gimmick... but more=better.

AND PUSH HURRICANE!
