After his arrest, he was replaced by former WWF wrestling star Joanie Laurer, also known as Chyna. LAS VEGAS — John Wayne Bobbitt, who gained infamy after his then-wife Lorena Bobbitt was charged with cutting off his penis in 1993, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman he married in March. Bobbitt, 35, was arrested Monday night for investigation of battery and domestic violence, said police Sgt. Chris Darcy. He was being held Tuesday night at the Clark County Detention Center on a probation violation, Darcy said. Bobbitt's wife, Joanna, told police her husband pushed her to the ground. She was treated at a hospital for minor injuries and released. Her husband's arrest, first reported by Entertainment Tonight, cost him an appearance on Fox-TV's Celebrity Boxing 2 program. Buttafuoco's wife, Mary Jo, was wounded by her husband's former "Long Island Lolita" girlfriend, Amy Fisher, in 1992. Fisher lost a spot on the first Celebrity Boxing program in March when the New York state Parole Board refused to allow her to take part. Bobbitt was thrust into the national spotlight in 1993 when his former wife was charged with cutting off his penis while he slept. Lorena Bobbitt, who argued she had been the victim of an abusive husband, was found innocent by reason of insanity. After successful surgery to reattach his penis, Bobbitt made a number of adult films. In 1997, he moved to Nevada, where he has worked in a brothel and as a bartender and tow truck operator. A Nevada judge placed Bobbitt on five years probation in 1999 after he pleaded guilty to attempted grand larceny.

As for this though, as an amateur boxer I find this news to be the greatest news story of the year! I can't wait. This is going to be so funny. I actaully think Chyna has a good chance of winning here because Buttafucker is so old and out of shape.

And they had e-mails come in...what's the differece between Chyna and John Bobbit...one had it's junk cut off...and the other is John Bobbit. But wouldn't you like to see Chyna take a whoopin...after Vince crammed her down your throat those coupld of years.

She was the woman's champion, which she never wanted to be, and she wasn't getting paid what she wanted. She was one of the more recognizable names in the wwe while she was there so to blame her I would say you are wrong. I don't know who the blame should fall on if anyone but I don't think it is her fault she isn't in the wwe anymore.

Why can't more people call someone on fucking up when that person has no one to blame but themselves. First off, I don't think anyone was saying that Chyna's not responsible for her own actions. Second, I never understood this line of thinking smarks have that just because she didn't like what the WWF was planning to give her, that makes her an egomaniac. The Chyna character itself had basically lost it's novelty when they put her in the Women's division, and judging from an interview I read before her negotiations started last year, she realized this and was considering leaving anyway. And as far as her demanding "more than she's worth", I'm not gonna debate on how much she was worth, but this is how I look at it: If you're working at a company for 4 or 5 years and then suddenly they decide to decrease your salary (which is what I believe they were doing to Chyna), you're gonna be a upset about that, no matter who you are. And seeing as how she didn't have that much left to offer the WWF in the first place, leaving the fed sounds like a sound decision to me. As far as this "Chyna's hit rock bottom" thing everybody's got...I dunno. I don't know why she felt the need to do a "freak" boxing show, especially now with the stuff with New Japan. Only way I can see this benefitting her is if she knocks Joey B. out...but right now I don't think it's anytime for people to start feeling sorry for her either.

He talks shit about people behind there back but kisses there asses on his show. I hate Chyna but she could probably knock his dumb ass out. Guest Posted May 16, 2002 Report Posted May 16, 2002 This is from 411 about some dude who went- I went with a group of friends cuz we were getting paid. We almost didn't get it because too many people showed up, but Joanie wrestled Joey Buttafucco. I've seen her in person before and I knew she lost muscle and was more toned, but she really has no muscle anymore. But she was nice at the end and high fived everyone sitting in the front. I can't really give away the results, but she would have fared better if she had her muscles still. What was cool was before the match started (was the main event but they taped backwards so it was first) RVD came out from the backstage area onto the soundstage. He was there to see Joanie I guess cuz he left right after and did not come back. There were quite a few random RVD chants from some guys in the way back, but I was closer and I kept doing the thumbs thing. Of course, he saw me and pointed and laughed. I kept doing it and he laughed and stood up, smiled and did it for me the right way as he was straight looking at me. I thought that was cool. He kept a low profile though and they didn't point him out on camera like they did Billy Ray Cyrus (yeah, the one hit wonder country guy) when they said they had celebs in the house. Go figure.
