We got Pope smoke...

Recommended Posts

Maybe no new one has been elected yet and the Vatican is just on fire?

The fire department should be on standby just in case.

That would probably be black smoke, in which case we wouldn't think a new pope was elected anyway.

I'm watching on Fox. Everyone in St. Peter Square is excited... but someone keeps SMACKING THE MIC. STOP.

Each section cheers when he reads a line in their language. It's like

"LET'S HEAR IT FOR CLEVELAND!"

"WOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"Now who here...is from...PITTSBURGH?"

"YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

"Now who is here representin Big D! DALLAS WHERE YOU AT"

"YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!"

This guy, though he's trying, looks like an old guy in a weird outfit. He doesn't have that holy father aura going for him that the last Pope did.

I guess it's kind of unfair to compare a guy who's been Pope for 15 minutes to JPII, but comparisons were inevitable unless they chose something different like black pope or a young pope.

So "God's mortal representation" or whatever he's considered, is a hitler youth

Well, there goes my prediction, I was sure it would have been one of the Cardianls form Central or South America

Oh hell no, although I think it would be kewl to have a Pope of color.

Funny note: In the sunday's paper, they had a little chart of all the major areas of the world and how many Catholics are in each area and how many cardinals/people that vote on the new Pope.

Latin America had 40 percent of the catholics, but only 20 percent of the voters.

Europe had 25 percent and 50 percent.

Africa had 11 percent and 9 percent...
