Guest nWoScorpion Posted May 16, 2002 Report Posted May 16, 2002 3 Days til Judgment Day....and I have no intention on buying it. Will this show make me want to order it? Spoilers say maybe but lets find out in t-minus 11 hours and 43 minutes.
Guest areacode212 Posted May 16, 2002 Report Posted May 16, 2002 It's 12 hours away! I guess it's never too early to start this thread. There's some interesting background info on Hogan and the city of Montreal over in the spoilers posted at the Observer site, for those wondering why the crowd will be doing what they did.
Guest nWoScorpion Posted May 16, 2002 Report Posted May 16, 2002 a 7 minute ovation is un heard of! They probably cut it to 0:30 or somethin. Canada loves Hogan and he played a american patriotist (correct wording, lol) so that must mean somethin. If he got more cheers in Canada then Bret, you know Hogan's still got soem time in him.
Guest Mik at Cornell Posted May 16, 2002 Report Posted May 16, 2002 Why do people always start this thread so early? Are you that fascinated w/ seeing a hundred or so people post something under a topic you started? Starting a smackdown/raw/ppv thread 11 hours before the show is so stupid. Look out for my one and only Wrestlemania X9 thread that I was planning on starting tomorrow. That way we can talk about it for 10 months.

If Bret Hart showed up at WM18 or the next night on RAW, then I highly doubt Hogan's cheers would of been able to compare.
Guest Posted May 16, 2002 Report Posted May 16, 2002 With proper booking and given enough time, three of the matches at Judgment Day have the potential to get at least **** each: Jericho-HHH, Angle-Edge, Guerrero-RVD. Other than that, I honestly cannot see this PPV getting more out of me than the thumb-in-the-middle rating I gave Backlash, unless the aforementioned three matches exceed my already high expectations. As for tonight's Smackdown convincing me one way or the other to order it, I doubt it. I probably won't make my final decision until the day of the event.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted May 16, 2002 Report Posted May 16, 2002 I'm not watching Judgment Day even though a friend of mine gets it for free. The 2 hour X-Files Series Finale is much more important to me.

Bret's cheers would make hogan's cheers look like nothing. and smackdown's already started in canada
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Did I miss the line about HHH sleeping his way to the top? Seriously?
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Ahahahahahahah Edge is the King!!! THE KING~! Thank goodness for him
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Holy crap was that a good cruiser match...nice to see the announcers barely care about it though.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 In the spoilers they said that HHH told Edge to win a few world titles then come challenge him...and Edge replied with "you only got to the top because you're sleeping with the bosses daughter". And I didn't hear it tonight. Did they cut it...or did I just not hear it?
Guest Will Scarlet Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 The line comes on later in the show during a vignette between the two.
Guest Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Bps is that enoguh to turn you into an Edge fan?
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 That was an amazing main. Well, it shouldn't be that much of a suprise, considering who was involved. All in all, that was a great episode of Smackdown. I like the direction Smackdown is going. Raw is just in some sort of horrible downward spiral though. Poor Raw. We all know who's going to win the hair vs hair match, but Hell In The Cell is pretty wide open. I'm hoping/cheering for Jericho, and I think he has a legit shot at HHH returning the Wrestlemania job. What do you guys think?
Guest alfdogg Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Note to Michael Cole: 3 days is 72 hours, not 32.
Guest alfdogg Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Wow, those chants weren't piped at all, no sir.
Guest alfdogg Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Aw, HORSESHIT!!! They cut the comment out, just as I predicted they would. I guess HHH didn't want everyone knowing the truth...
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 What's with this crap about HHH ended Foley's career in HIAC? He ended it for what? A month? Before Foley came back at Wrestlemania 2K and ended his career for good.
Guest alfdogg Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Lance Storm's on TV two weeks in a row!!!
Guest alfdogg Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Did Tazz just call Val "intense?" I guess we know who's getting buried next...
Guest Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Hogan is limping out. Why do they tease a serious, career-ending injury, dammit!?
Guest alfdogg Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Yeah, let's show RAW highlights on Smackdown, why not.
Guest alfdogg Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Ram, I was staring to think for a minute that I was the only person watching.
