Contrary to the lackluster reviews Smackdown has been getting lately, I must say that I MUCH prefer SD to Raw.

The matches are longer

the in-ring talent is better,

you have at least 4 main event guys to carry the show, and even the Undisputed Title (Jericho, Angle, HHH, Rock <when he's around>)

You got "almost there"  back-up main eventers to push in case of injury, drunkeness or termination of main eventers (Edge,Benoit,DDP, etc)

And I actually dig the storylines.

Raw, on the other hand..is a mess right now. The matches are shorter, which I don't understand at all with guys like RVD, D'lo, Lesnar, and Guerrero in the mix. It seems like Raw has some really good tools to revitalize their main event scene..but they keep coming up short for whatever reason (see also: NWO). I can't say much for the storylines...All i can say is, Smackdown makes sense to me, Raw does not. When Raw is over, i'm always sorely dissapointed and frustrated.

Does anybody out there understand what I'm feeling? Share with me your thoughts on why I"m feeling like this..shouldn't it be the same if the same set of bookers are booking both shows?

Have we been watching the same show?  UPN, 8pm Thursdays?  Because that matches on SmackDown (aside from the main) rarely reach the 3 minute mark.  They're a more action packed 3 minutes, yes, but it's still under 3 minutes.  A three way cruiserweight title match didn't make it to the 2:30 mark.  Still, SmackDown was the better show...this week. Usually I'm more entertained by Raw though.

I much prefer SD, if only because it has better talent. As you said, Raw is a mess right now. It's pretty sad when a show has only one good main eventer, and even that one good wrestler is not working as he normally does because of what appears to be a lack of motivation(can we really blame him?).

I'd have to side with Raw...

Although it has been *REALLY* lacking the past few weeks, to the point where i've considered not to even bother watching. BUT...as long as Taker is on the show, it has a viewer in me!

This has been the Taker Mark

There are only three guys left that I even care about anymore. Jericho, Angle, and Booker. I too usually look more forward to SmackDown.

By some incredible stroke of either luck or booking ineptitude, RAW managed to be a little better than Smackdown just after the split.  Since then, however, the uneven distribution of talent has become really evident.  Most of the things that I take issue with in the WWE right now are part of RAW:  Hogan/Undertaker, the incredibly dull Austin/Flair feud, Bradshaw's push, the nWo, etc.  On a weekly basis, Smackdown comes out looking great by comparison.  So, yes.  Definitely Smackdown.

i would say smackdown as well, though raw has 2 things which cause me to tune in every week: RVD and BROCK!!!

Smackdown, no question.  They always had the better wrestlers, but ever since Backlash they even have the more focused storylines.

I prefer Raw because it has RVD, Eddy, Brock, the women's WRESTLING division, Stone Cold, and Flair.

On SmackDown!, the only people I like are the Cruisers, Randy Orton, Kurt Angle (who will be gone by December), Edge and Jericho.

My vote goes to Smackdown, the only things on RAW that are good are Ric Flair, RVD, and Booker T.

Vince, but he is only on for 10 minutes or so, and I can flip the channel for a bit.  On RAW there is usually only one good segment (usually involving Booker T).

RAW, solely because of STONE COLD!, STONE COLD!! And Booker T.

Oh yeah also because I don't get Smackdown!. LOL

I watch Raw for Regal and I prefer a Flair promo over Vince's mid-age crisis sexploits.
