Should maven be in the cruiserweight division?

Even though the lad's bulked up a bit since his debut, I'd like to see how we works with guys more his size, like Helms or Kidman...All I've seen him do in the ring is work with bigger guys, and I wonder what would happen if he matched up with quicker opponents...It would probably teach him tons...

No

Here's why:

He's been alright as the underdog rookie who gets his ass kicked the whole match and pulls out a hope spot. He's not at the level to do much otherwise and would get exposed in a second working with someone either smaller or the same size as him and he wouldn't be able to sell the same way he would for a big guy without looking really weak. Maybe after he gets some experience under his belt.

He shouldn't be on TV at all. But if he must be on they need to keep him with guys that he can get away with only knowing how to do a drop kick. He would drag down each and every cruiserweight that he would wrestle. The division can't afford a weak link at this stage. The only way it will truly get over with the fans is with good matches that have two capable wrestlers in them. The last thing they need is this glorified ring set up guy Maven in the ring stinking up cruiserweight matches.

No, for reasons Satanico and Hulkster mentioned. But, the similarly sized Christian should be put in the cruiser division. He could be their top heel. Lord knows they're not going to do anything else with him.

If they keep up the storyline with Torrie maybe he'll feud with Tajiri down the road. I think he could learn alot from a wrestling standpoint, but as others have pointed out he would drag matches down and when there is only one CW match per show that is not a good thing. Maybe if they have him wrestle CWs on house shows he could get the experience, but wouldn't make the division look bad on tv.

This whole dating/wrestling thing is too Melro's Place for me, it seems kinda fucked up, being on wrestling show.

I agree, definitely not.  Although I detest Maven and can't stand him being so high up for no real reason, I definitely don't want him ruining cruiserweight matches by bringing down the workrate to his level.

I really like the idea of putting Christian in the CW division... about the only things he's doing now are jack and shit.

I must concur. He's doing fine wrestling tag matches as the plucky kid. Plus, the tag division is excutiatingly weak, while they have a good crew of cruisers. Here's hoping for Helms/Moore.

I do rather like the Snow/Maven teacher/student dynamic though, it's a natural.

Much more than Rikishi/Rico

As an aside, anyone think Rico could have a real future? Obviously we've never really seen him in a match, but his moves are crisp, and he gets a lot of heat. unfortunately, apparently he's pretty old.

Hell, I'll disagree.  Put Maven in the CW division, let him win the CW title, just as long as they keep him away from a fued with Kurt "Who's Bald?" Angle?

I don't know what the big deal is with Rico's age.  He's only 39 or 40.  I heard the booking comittee doesn't really like him because of the age.  Hogan is 49 and he was just Champion and he can't move worth shit.  Undertaker, Flair, Nash, all old but gettting pushed.  Rico moves well and could get heat, so just push him.

I'd just put him in an occassional title shot just to give the  illusion that the cruiserweight division has more than 4 people. I wouldn't let him win, but just give him a shot. Plus, he's sorta over anyways, so why not.

Personally I'd stick Maven in there, simply because its a division where a lot is improvised and he could learn a lot, or Helms could do the Vertebreaker to him, whichever comes first
