Ahh the King Of The Ring is coming and while the event has been some what good in the past it mostly seems to disappoint. Lets face it for three years in a row, it has been considered one of the worst events of the year.  99-01 were downers and with the way the year has been going, I dont have a good feeling about it.

If they give us:

 

Undertaker vs. Van Dam (with Van Dam going over for the title)

 

Austin vs. Guerrero (in a **** match)

 

HHH vs. Edge

 

and Booker T as King of the Ring

 

Then yes we should be excited

 

But somehow... I doubt it will end up that way

I think if Benoit returns and him, Angle and Jericho go all NEW Triple Threat on someone, it could make the show for me.

Yeah... plus both jericho and Angle have been made out to be completely incompetent jackasses lately, and mixing them with the "badass" benoit character wouldn't work really... I just hope that when Benoit comes back, he doesn't end up playing Jericho to HHH

That's not so bad. If they can end the show standing over (Whoever it is in the main event) lying in a bloody heap, it will give them loads of cred.

If I were booking it, I would have Jericho and Angle just completely snap and go insane running over everyone in their path, interfering in all of the main events and destroying everyone... then Benoit comes back and they cut a "we're not going to take this bullshit anymore" type interview...

 

but of course that's not going to happen

I think it would be better as Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, & Christian. I don't have anything against Kurt Angle at all, but as you have blabbered about in the past, he needs surgery and is getting ready to go on a hiatus.. correct?

 

Plus, Christian, Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho are all canadian, so they could play that up. Not like we haven't seen it beat into the ground in the past, but you know how the WWE likes to recycle things.

 

Still a great idea though, of course, they couldn't call it the Triple Threat without Bam Bam, Candido & The Franchise getting pissed.. but oh well.

And you have a good idea too, but this whole "We're Canadian and PISSED" Thing has been beaten into the ground to the point wheer i really don't want to see it. But hey, to each his own, I guess.

It can all lead up to a HUGE PPV Handicap match. Triple H v. Angle, Jericho and Benoit! The finish of course would be Triple H pedigreeing all three of them and standing over all their defeated bodies doing his roid rage pose. But J.R. would at least bring up how they had taken Triple H to the limit.

 

But seriously, that idea would be tremendous. Get Vince the hell off the show and make Angle/Benoit/Jericho the top heels. No more midcard comedy angles. No more being Triple H's bitches. Give them the ball for once without cutting them off at the knees before they can run with it.

 

As for KOR, I don't think the tournament is looking too promising. Who is even going to be in the tournament on the Smackdown side? Test???

 

I'm personally hoping that the two main event matches are Taker/Triple H and Vince/Hogan because when the buyrate sinks to new lows there won't be anyone else to blame.

Either that, or HHH will destroy all three until STEPHANIE makes her grand return, single handedly beats HHH, physically drags one of the three ontop of Hunter for the win and carries all three to the back, proclaiming herslef the new manager and sending them all to get lotion (Because they are two incompetant for one to go alone.)

I think I'll reserve Judgment on my excitement until some matches are announced.

 

Right now, if Taker-RVD occurs at the ppv, expect a low buyrate, in turn placing the blame on RVD.

 

If HHH-Taker headlines, expect an even lower buyrate placing the blame on anybody but these two men.

 

If Austin-Guerrero occurs, one can only hope Austin puts Eddy over, not only elevating Eddy a little but also RVD since he got his ass handed to him twice by Eddy.

 

More than likely, Angle or Jericho will probably lose to Hogan on his quest to fight Vince at Summerslam and finally retire in some -**** match.

Yeah, you're right. Bam Bam Bigelow is going to bring big trouble!

 

KotR could be good this year, I think. For once. Finally. Hopefully. We could potentially see alot of good match-ups, and if X-Pac puts his working boots on... And Test actually delivers (as he seems to do on rare occasion) the only low spot will be Mark Henry. I'm especially hoping Eddy wins, but my early prediction is Test.

He just had a decent match on SD! You have to wait till next year for Test's yearly watchable match
