Finish of the Year

Hughes - Trigg II by far, I don't see how you could even compare those two against the finish of this one.

I liked the finish to Koscheck/Fickett. Kos is dominating the fight, and is on his way to a clear decision victory. Then, BAM! He gets caught with a knee and choked out, out of nowhere. Suprising finish for sure.

Top Three:

1: Rich Franklin punching Nate Quarry into the next century at UFC 56

2: James Irvin kneeing Terry Martin's head into the stratosphere at UFC 54

3: Tim Sylvia kicking Tra Telligman's head into the nosebleed section at UFC 54

That's a flying heel hook. As far as I know, there's no such thing as a flying kneebar, only rolling kneebars.

See: Andrei Kopylov vs. Leo Castello Branco (whizzer to kneebar)

I'd need a refresher on that one but wasn't it just some GNP from Shogun? I think a stomp might've been thrown in there too.

It wasn't a devastating KO or a slick submission, but it was just out of nowhere and totally unexpected. All of a sudden Shogun starts hammerfisting Arona and then... he's out! I was shocked watching it, especially since bnobody had ever finished Arona before.

Well, Jackson did, but he got pretty lucky with that.
