The russo book

I just read the new issue of Wrestling Observer that Russo is coming out with a book about his experiences in the WWF lockeroom and the writing process and whatever.

Biases aside, are you going to get this book to see what this man has to say? I know a lot of people did not like his style of writing and all, but he did have an impact on the industry. The observer said because of the lawsuit, he won't be talking about WCW that much if at all.

I am not going to lie, the book intrigues me. I remember on this board someone saying they would love to have someone who was on the inside write a tell all book. Here is one in potentially many I think we may see. Of course Russo will praise his favorite wrestlers and down the people he had problems with, but unless the book gets panned by people like Meltzer or Keller, I'll probrably get it just because I get every book written by a wrestler or someone associated with the business.(except Chyna's. I do exercise common sense)

Will you Russo's book or not?

I may not buy it, but it sounds like a really good "read it in the store" deal (like Missy Hyatt's book was). He'll probably distort some of the facts and rip on the usual people (Meltzer, Ross, etc..), but it'll still be fun to read for all the gossipy inside stuff we all love to gnash our teeth over.

I hope he doesn't use the same retarded writing style he employed for his WWF RAW Magazine columns.

I think i would probably read a chapter or so in the store and then see if is any good.

If you mean using "z" instead of "s" for pluralized words, then I'm right behind you.

Does anyone know if it'll be a tell-all book that's supposed to "expose the business" Canseco-style, or just a story of his life and his time in the WWF?

It is only about his time in the WWF. He couldent put WCW stuff in the book because of something to do with the court case.

I will buy it because im a mark for backstage gossip.

Russo was Vince's "Right Hand Man" for a while there, so there is suppose to be a lot about Vince in it.

Sucks we won't hear that much about WcW.

I would buy it wheather Meltzer and/or Keller panned it. He doesn't seem to have a problem holding back on the people he doesn't like. He probably has interesting stories to tell.

If it's a tell all book that stirs shit up then i'd think about reading it at least.

Yeah, I will buy it. It will be very interesting to see what he has to say.

What else was posted in the observer?

I'm sure that I will. I pretty much read all wrestling related books. It gives me something to do, to help pass the time.

Nobody has really held back on bashing Russo in the past couple of years so i'm looking forward to him hopefully sticking it back to some people in the WWE, there's certainly some detestable people who deserve to be grilled and exposed as the hypocritical scum they are.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. That, along with HIS annoying habit of CAPITALIZING words AT RANDOM for EMPHASIS!! He also seemed to publish his columns without running them through a spell-check first.
