The WWE in Hawaii...MY DILEMMA!

My whole ordeal started 3 weeks ago. Learning of a WWE show coming to Hawaii for the first time for a show in 10 years, I was ECSTATIC. Being 6 years old at my only appearance in 1991, they gave us several killer matches:

(All angles are from December 1991)

--Jake Roberts versus Undertaker

--The Great Kabuki versus the Ultimate Warrior

--L.O.D. versus Natural Disasters

--Rockers versus Haku/Barbarian

--Davey Boy Smith versus Ricky Steamboat (BOTH faces, but Steamboat was the hero of Hawaii, along with Muraco before and the Rock in the present.)

--Bret Hart versus Ted Dibiase

and the DREAM MATCH at that time...

--Hogan versus Flair for the World Title (on a side note, Heenan got a fan/plant to break the cuffs he had on as part of a "Heenan Doesn't Interfere" gimmick, then proceeded to punch the fan...lol)

Well, okay, not GREAT MATCHES, but the name-power as there, while the last 4 matches on that card was GREAT stuff...

Anyway, I live on Maui. (For those who don't know, it is a secondary island to Oahu: Oahu holds all of the big concerts, WWE Events..THE KEYWORD IS SECONDARY.)

From what I've heard, WWE did not advertise on Maui radio for the upcoming show, for obvious reasons...to my dismay,

tickets went on sale last Saturday ....and sold out in less than 2 hours.

Thousands of fans went home empty-handed, as the arena booked (not the best one in size here in Hawaii BTW) will only hold 8,000-9,000 people (it's really 13,000 MAX for a wrestling event)as Tom Moffatt, aka "Big Event Aficionado and Island Bookee", informed WWE officials that "Hawaii did not expect to have much fans attending the WWE Event, due to the

fact that the WWE did come here for such a long period." Good reasoning...except he Was WRONG.

Due to a screwjob lottery-type drawing for the tickets, those who got to the arena the night before, did not have much of

an advantage over others. Moffatt also commented that there was a 50/50 chance that they make a return before the end of the year.

Flash forward to today. Radio Stations on some islands (we connect with the Big Island as well) are advertising the cliche ticket giveaways, which has relegated me to be typing this story while listening to piss-poor pop songs for hours on end. The key to this certain giveaway, is to call up the station and be the 21st caller to ring them up when you hear "If You Smell..." from the Rock. The event is 2 Saturdays away, and I have NO TICKETS.

Both WWE and local sources confirm that the Rock will be in action at the show, which will one of his few WWE appearances for the summer.

Rock basically made a promise to his parents and relatives here in Hawaii to bring the WWE here and perform no matter the circumstance, so he will commit to it.

Any comments, or experiences of this sort? For all posters out there, wish me luck here...LOL;)

You could show up the day of the show and try to buy tickets from a scalper, or go to the ticket window and see if any more seats are opened up.

Stand outside the arena the night of the show with a megaphone and a sign that says Will Do ANYTHING for a ticket.  Someone might help you out.  Ive seen it happen..
