Guest Steve J. Rogers Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Could Cole and Snow PLEASE give the allusion of calling the action live by just SITTING DOWN at the announce table during the taping? I mean its pretty embarrassing when they are talking like the action is happening live in front of them, and then the camera angle switches and the table with two empty seats is in clear view (or someone is at the table that is clearly not Michael Cole or Al Snow) I mean didn't they do that for Heat and Jakked? I understand they WANT Cole and Snow to comment on events that occured on Smackdown rather than allude to something and look like morons (though what else is new with Cole) when it never happened, i.e. something is filmed or planned, but cut out of the finished program, but it still looks odd to see the sight of no broadcasters, especially with Cole schilling as if he is there live. Steve
Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 It's just another one of those little things that they are failing to do right now. That's got to be why business is on the decline.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 I think the "ghost seats" is actually a great little touch for unintentional humor. I remember seeing that on either HeAT or Metal before as well, though not as much anymore on HeAT.
Guest treble charged Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 Sometimes, the announcers will be at the table for part of the show, and not there for other parts. When I went to SmackDown taping back in March, before the split when Heat was still taped before SmackDown, Cole and Tazz left before the last Heat match, which I believe was Storm/Venis (which was shown first), but were there for the rest of the matches?
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 isn't most of smackdown dubbed over too?
Guest What?! Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 I swear in an old episode of Metal they had Kevin Kelly and Michael Hayes announcing, but you could see Kevin Kelly and The Coach at the announce table.
