Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 The following news and rumors come from the Pro Wrestling Torch newsletter. Subscription information available at http://www.prowrestlingtorch.com Several developmental wrestlers from both OVW and HWA are complaining to friends that most of their in-ring training is geared toward using old school moves that they don't believe they would ever be able to use during a WWE match. Former road agent Ricky Santana is booking for Carlos Colon's World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico. The latest plan involving Dawn Marie is to incorporate her into D-Von's act, although Paul Heyman is said to be making a strong push for her to be reunited with Lance Storm. Triple H has not been attending production meetings. Last year he was at most production meetings where TV scripting and PPV line-ups are worked out. Other wrestlers had also attended the meetings including Chris Jericho, X- Pac, and Al Snow. A couple of months ago the meetings were basically restricted to management and writers only. After Raven and Jerry Lawler discussed with an agent their match for Raw last Monday, Raven went back to the agent and expressed his concern with being booked to job to Lawler. He thought since he was getting a renewed push that doing a job would slow his momentum. Despite past heat between Triple H and Goldberg, Triple H's attitude is open to Goldberg coming in. He wouldn't necessarily agree with the move, but might attempt to make the best of it. The tension between them began when Triple H said he didn't think Goldberg could cut it in the WWF given its schedule and interview demands. Goldberg then heard about the comments and made a scene at a TV convention by calling Triple H out for a fight. Goldberg is considering signing with Pride out of Japan, which is an MMA shoot fight organization. Steve Austin was at Raw all day last week. The story that he was late due to a family emergency with Debra was done to explain why he didn't go after Eddie Guerrero earlier in the show. It's an extension of a point Kevin Nash made to the writers last week. They had asked him to be filmed "showing up at the arena" at 10:35 p.m. He told the writers that it was unrealistic that he'd arrive at the arena that late, and that they should come up with better explanations for wrestlers not meddling in matters earlier in the show. The writers saw his point, and seemed to attempt a more logical explanation with Austin this week as a result. Credit: Pro Wrestling Torch newsletter. Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 So much for Dawn/Lance. Storm needs her more then Friggen D'Von.
Guest converge241 Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 They should just make Austin head writer hmmmm , debra might object to HHH trying to sleep with Austin.
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 They should just make Austin head writer. so you bitch when one wrestler has the book and you want to give it to another?
Guest Brian Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 But he'll bust a nut if Angle got the book six months before he's leaving for nearly two years.
Guest J*ingus Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 They should just make Austin head writer hmmmm , debra might object to HHH trying to sleep with Austin. It's so true, that it's both hilarious and pathetic at the same time.
Guest Human Fly Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 What would Dawn Marie be if she was paired with D-Von? Organist? Pot Luck Supper Organizer? The guys who are complaining about old-school moves are probably the cruiserweights.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Hmm. Kevin Nash has a good point, its silly for Austin to be late all the time without a reason. Next thing you know he might actually have a good match...
Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 If the wwe do start giving reasons as to why austin always shows up late, they'll probably cycle around three or four reasons before the fans start asking about how austin has had 27 family emergencies.

Thank goodness I wasn't drinking anything when I read this, or else i would've spewed liquid all over my keyboard and ruined it as I buckled with laughter. It is all about the game and how you play it, after all...

Hmm. Kevin Nash has a good point, its silly for Austin to be late all the time without a reason. Next thing you know he might actually have a good match... It is so Nash-ic to point out the least of the WWE logic problems for correction. current gaping WWE logic holes: the fact that there really is no need for the two owner split. Linda McMahon and Vice's marital status. Booker T has become an idiot for no reason. Goldust rebecame Goldust with no explanation after abandoning the character. Why there are tag teams on Raw. Why Dvon suddenly got religous. The whole camera backstage deal.. are they supposed to konw its there? sometimes they do, sometimes they dont. the biggest one of all: the fact that outside of maybe like 2-3 guys (usually Hogan, HHH, and Vince) we have no real firm idea what the hell the character's motivations or character logic is..
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 They should just make Austin head writer hmmmm , debra might object to HHH trying to sleep with Austin. Nah, HHH isn't Bradshaw...
Guest Flyboy Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 So much for Dawn/Lance. Storm needs her more then Friggen D'Von. Very true... very true.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 For some reason when I think of D-Von, Deacon Bautista and Dawn Marie, I think of the trio in Kingpin, Roy Munson, Ishmael, and Miss Claudia.
