Guest art_vandelay Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 Alright, first let me say that I marked out like a bitch for the "Sexy Boy" music and all the Shawn/Diesel poses, I mean, how can you not? But doesn't this all just scream, "desperation" to you? You'd figure the WWF would learn by now. We've got the returns of Flair, Hogan, Hall, Nash. All bringing not much more than a small spike in the ratings for a week or so after their returns. This is Shawn Michaels, a much smaller deal than Hogan alone. If the Hogan plus Hall & Nash can't keep the rating up, how can he? What the hell is the point of this long-term? This also fucks up the nWo leadership thing. So who's the leader now? Kevin Nash, or the man he used to play second fiddle to for all those years? Also, people may think the Confidential interviews were a swerve, but I feel differently. Shawn stated himself, HBK is dead. I really don't think he wanted to come back. I just think it was a decision made by the writers and Nash at the last minute. If Michaels' heart isn't in it, I don't want to see him. Not wrestling, not cutting promos, not anything. Frankly, if they wanted to bring Shawn back, they could have been a lot more creative than this. This is just a wasted nostalgia pop in my opinion.
Guest Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 Was it just me (or my TV) or did HBK's pop not come across too well? I mean, it didn't seem anywhere near what he used to get. And they were even in Texas, too... Granted, that crowd seemed kinda luke-warm, though.

I thought we wanted suprises, and last night we were SUPRISED with Shawn Michaels returning, but I am seeing so many complaints. Unbelieveable!! THe WWE and pro wrestling is doomed when 95% of everthing that happens is complained about.

Guest converge241 Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 the surprise aspect of it was great.. i was expecting soemthing stupid like Goldust officially joins (seriously, I thought that it was going to be that) or like an NWO membership drive. where this leads i have no guess (as far as to what Shawn will do in the ring)
