Smackdown Scores a 3.3 Rating

Smackdown delivered a 3.3 rating last night, tying the third lowest non-holiday mark in show history.

They need to make this show live. It should be no problem now, since there are different writing teams and different schedules for the wrestlers. It is also pretty clear people don't want to see Hulk Hogan.

This has to go on the shoulders of HHH and Hogan.

 

Not just because they were the big match this week...but because they have been the focus for weeks now.

 

But when you look at this its kind of interesting:

 

RVD vs. Eddy main events raw...the next week ratings go up almost a half point.

 

Edge and Angle main event SD!...ratings stay shitty the next week.

I dont understand how people in the WWE think SD! is the better show. I mean when this roster split was announced, it looked like SD! would be the better show but RAW is soo much better, its almost sad. SD! has the talent but RAW has the better booking. Do the math.

I still make a point to watch Raw every week, but Smackdown is only if viewed if I've nothing better to do. HHH and Hogan fighting it out with each other to battle the Undertaker is not exciting. HHH might be improving, but his style and Hogan's do not mesh at all. Funny considering that HHH once bragged how he could get good matches out of Hogan.

I disagree with everybody who says Raw is better. Raw puts me to sleep a lot of the time, and Smackdown...despite the fact that it's been getting worse recently, always keeps me entertained....well anything not involving Vince McMahon. He's like a cancer to that show.

SmackDown's been pretty consistent while RAW has been hit or miss, but generally more hits than misses.

whoever said hhh and hogan are the focus of smackdown, i got news for ya, smackdown does not have a true focus, thats its problem

The love trangles need to go. Vince/Dawn/Stacey, Nidia/Knoble/Helms, and Torrie/Maven/Tajiri are all horrendous.

 

Hell, 2/3's of those people shouldn't be on TV at all. Why are they? This is a time when management needs to stop looking around for answers and look at the product and ask questions like "Why is this here?", "who is this appealing to?" and so on.

If Vince expects to get good ratings for the WWF(I refuse to call it the WWE) then he should bring back old school wrestling and the bad gimmicks. I'd like to see Todd Pettengill and Stephanie Wyant commentate for Smackdown instead of those losers Michael Cole and Taz. Bob Holly should dye his hair brown and call himself Bob "Spark Plugg" Holly. Steve Austin should grow some hair and become "Stunning" Stever Austin. Rikishi should lose some weight and become "Making a Difference" Fatu. All the ugly divas should be fired. Harvey Wippleman, Jim Cornette, and Col. Robert Parker should manage in the WWF. Vince should bring back old bad gimmicks and create some new ones. That's the only way the WWF will survive.

Besides that, I think RAW has been better booked anglewise, but I mean come on...

At least Smackdown! has Jericho, Angle, Benoit, HHH, and RAW has Austin, the nWo, and piss and puke. Uh huhhhhh
