Jackie Turning On Linda

Did anyone see the point of turning Jackie heel and having Linda be the face? Wouldn't it work out better if Jackie were the good girl face and Linda was the bitchy heel?

I think this was more of a "Why not?" decision by the WWF, instead of a "Well gee if we do this..."

Hopefully this was just a one time thing and they are both going down to OVW for a while. Smackdown has all of the TE winners, all of the trainers from TE2 were from Smackdown, and I think all of the trainers in TE3 will be from Smackdown. They might as well make it an official Smackdown show.

Yeah....I don't see them lasting long at all on the SD roster. I would guess within a few weeks they are sent to OVW.

 

Personally I think they would make a great heel women tag team sort of thing, since nobody has seemed to really fully accept them as the true winners of TE2 anyway. They could be the bitter bitches who are trying to prove themselves or are bitter because nobody thinks they are "tough enough."

Yeah, I agree Linda should've been the heel, but they probably did it because of Jackie's injury (and yes, I realize how stupid that sounds, but remember this is the WWF we're talking about). I think they should've at least given Linda more matches before they went for the turn.

IMO the reason they are on SD! and getting angles (regardless of how backwards) is because the WWE probably equates the lower ratings that Tough Enough 2 was pulling with the lack of use of the first years winners.

 

I know Maven was on tv....but he was pretty much just there...with nothing to do for most of the time.

 

So Maven gets an angle with Torrie/Tajiri

 

Nidia gets an angle with Hurricane/Knoble

 

and the TE2 winners get an angle on their first show.

The Linda/Ivory match on Velocity was actually really really good, but the angle was awkward and forced.  I think at least Linda needs to stay until Jazz returns because the women's division is REALLY hurting right now.  By then, she probably wouldn't even need that much more work but it'd be a good idea to go down to OVW for a little fine tuning anyway.

 

Jackie should go to OVW right away.  I never saw Tough Enough 2, but if someone who does that slow and sloppy of interference in a main-event match is the co-winner, those guys must have REALLY REALLY REALLY sucked.

Didn't Jackie always have a problem with Linda's attitude? I remember Al Snow had to tell Linda "I'm keeping my eye on you" about 500 times.

 

Since Linda came off looking like The Bad Person through TE2 in that conflict, turning the tables and having Jackie stop putting up with Linda's bullshit makes an okay start-off angle. But it won't last for anything long term, since almost nobody cares about the Drama that is the Tough Enough series anyway.
