Remember those "My name is Stone Cold Steve Austin...I am the WWF Champion...and I do not deserve to be beaten by Chris Jericho" promos? Then the freakin' HARDY BOYZ beat down the Undisputed champ? I mean I know they had to rewrite the show and all of that, but having your self-proclaimed BIG RED EVIL DEVIL get beat down by a couple of fruits with a ladder realy makes him look like a pussy. I mean, is any mark not going to totally expect HHH to win at the PPV? Oh wait, maybe that was the point...

Zzzzzzz Somehow Austin did the paranoid champion thing WAY WAY WAAAAAAY better. I used to LOVE it when Austin would come out and do the "my name is" thing. Undertaker, though.... Zzzzzzz
Guest Redhawk Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 I know Taker has the whole "Respect me" gimmick, but someone should have noticed that his promo would sound exactly like Austin's promos from last year. Unless the writers were asleep at the wheel, as they tend to often be.
