Roster Split?

I see a bunch of posts saying "I can't wait for the stupid split to be over", and now Vince has 100% (storyline) ownership again.  So, what does everyone think?  Keep the split, or merge the rosters?

Personally, I say keep the split.  You can keep from over-exposing guys, plus newer guys get a chance to shine.  We got the Brock push, cruisers getting TV time, and new/younger guys like Knoble, Bautista, Rico are on TV.  I seriously doubt any of those things would be even considered if there is/was not a roster split.

Keep it.  That way, when Hunter Growth-Hormone loses the belt he wins at KOTR, I'll be able to see less of him.

GET IT THE F OUT, and just eliminate the old fucks from our TV permanently... or stick them on HeAt.

I have mixed feelings about the split. They really need to split into two different promotions with their own belts and such. As it is now, it's just a sad attempt at that, with the only superstars currently benefiting are mid-card nobodys. The split can work if each show is given a certain theme. On RAW, turn the hardcore division into an ECW style kind of thing and couple that with a Euro division.  On Smackdown, build a "storyline free" cruiser division and move the IC title over there. Even then, that still leaves only three feuds or so per show that can be easily booked (over titles.) The split has given the writers a tougher time with each show because it's harder to write storylines when there are no belts to feud over.

I say, dump the split and stabalize. If ratings and buyrates increase, then maybe the WWE can take the giant step towards splitting into two companies.

IMO, by fusing back together, they are losing any stability that they had.

I'd like to see it stay.  The split has given us Angle/Edge and RVD/Eddy main eventing their respective shows, increased face time for mid-card guys, and allowed about half-a-dozen guys to be brought up from the developmentals in various on-screen roles, and that to me is a start.

If you recombine, I'm guessing you lose most of that, and you have the deadweight that composes the world title/main event scene taking up that space on both shows every week.

What he said. (BTW McPhisto- is your name from Candy?)

I was thinking earlier today that maybe a good split would be Hogan/nWo/Austin/Rock/Taker and the cruiserweights on one show, and EVERYONE ELSE on the other. Get rid of the hardcore and european belts, have the 'Everyone Else' workers fight over the IC title, keep the old/slow brigade in Sports Entertainment land, and everyone's happy. Except Raven. He's always pissed.

I want the split to stay, but damn it, if they're gonna do it, DO IT RIGHT! SPLIT THE UNDISPUTED TITLE! Right now, the way they've got it set up, having the Champion work on both shows is only going to leave a void on one show (i.e. Taker feuding with HHH on Smackdown while having little to nothing to do on Raw). They should split all titles evenly amongst the rosters, and split the PPVs up so when Raw and Smackdown rosters appear together there will be some novelty to it. If they can't do it this way, then there's no point in having the split, IMO.
