Am I the only one who doesn't think Austin is gone for good? Vince knows that he needs Steve...

Vince needs Rock more than Steve at this point in Austin's career.

I don't think Austin is gone for good, either.  I think both he and Vince realize there is money to be made from Austin.  I think he will be back.  I just do not know when.

I don't think he's gone for good, yet.

I hope he's gone for good--for reasons I have already stated--but you never know.

I really wouldn't want Austin to leave, but Vince should fire his ass for walking out like that. Whether he was justified or not, his actions practically sabotaged Raw Monday night. Vince needs to start putting his foot down on this sort of thing. If he does, maybe he won't have to worry as much about the Kliq attempting to use their backstage pull.

I find it funny, that in the midst of all this Austin whining..it's the Clique that comes out looking bad. What the hell? Do I need to remind people of the fact when they were pulling most of their stunts, Vince was on trial for steroids? Hell, Hall was a Clique member, and I haven't seen any of them raising hell about him being fired yet. All this 'oh my god, the Clique is back' stuff is just trying to take the heat off of you-know-who.

X-pac should be fired for what he did Monday night. Plain and simple. So should Austin.

Leave the Clique out of it until they actually..y'know.. do something wrong.

Gee, after reading all of your anti-Austin posts I get the impression that you might dislike the guy... just a little.

I 100% agree. People that are bitching aboutShawn's comments about the Rock and HHH should realize that he was allowed to do that for heel heat. I haven't heard anything about Shawn doing anything bad so stop complaining about his backstage pull.

I have no problems with shawn's spiel..it was entertaining, i dont feel that any problems should be deflected at them. I also agree with the Xpac and Austin sentiments.

Austin will still be one of my all time favs (below Flair) but what hes doing now sucks . It wouldnt matter to me who did it pre-like or pre dislike

Suprisingly, I don't. I think he's overexposed, and more than a little stale, but I don't hate the guy. The entire "What?" thing has really grated on my nerves, since he did start it, but it was inevitable that the sheep would pick it up.

When somebody's dogging it out there, and not doing anywhere near their potential, I'll let them have it. I feel the same way about HHH right now, because he's not preforming anywhere near what he can do, either. I have lost some respect for Austin as a preformer throught all this, because after showing that he's hardworking, and genuniely tries..he slacks off, and runs home. Especially when this isn't the first time.

As an example..the Bossman sucks, and always will suck. Austin does not. When we've seen him put on three and four star matches, and he goes out there now and just does a by the numbers match, and all too similar promos, and segments..

People talk about Vince overdoing the 'evil owner' concept. Well, in my mind, Austin has overdone the 'rebel against authority' concept. We've seen this stuff for years. Sure, fans may love it..but if that's the universal case, why are the ratings two points lower than they were when Austin was doing the same thing a couple of years ago?

Somebody that much into the spotlight should be trying to evolve their character. Perhaps not drastically, but just slowly. You see what happens when they don't. Austin's stale, Triple H was stale as a heel before he was injured, Rock gets stale..it's because they go out there and do the same thing every night. It's fun for a while, but it wears off. (Remember how over Too Cool and their dancing was at one point? Now Rikishi couldn't get a pop to save his life)

That's why new things get such huge pops some times. Take RVD for instance. He's improved light years since he came into the WWF, and will hopefully continue to do so.

If Austin, Vince, and the WWF Creative team can't think up anything other than "Austin v Evil Owner part ", with just including other wrestlers every now and then..(Vince had the Rock, then the Corporation, and Flair's got Benoit and Guererro). To me, for one, it's too common now. I'm not suprised at all when Stone Cold stunners the boss, or beats up one of his flunkies, or stunners a whole mass of people.

Yet when they want him to do something different..

(I like the heel work he was doing before they turned him into the catchphrase spouting "What?" machine. Wuss Austin didn't really fly after years of seeing him the opposite. I have enough brains to realize people just don't lose their balls when they go heel. Bad creative team! BAD!)

Guess what comes up? No.

Blasting Trips and Taker and the Clique is fun and all, but when somebody pulls outright crap, I'll let them have it. I bet Nash thought it'd be for the "good of the company" when he booked himself champion, too. People tend to delude themselves into thinking things like that, to justify keeping their spot, or further personal advancement. Show me a selfless case of someone doing it to help themselves and everybody else, and I'll credit them.

If the ratings go down enough he'll be back.

I'd like to see him in the midcard doing the old Bruno role from the eighties, same with hogan.

if he comes back and stunners the entire roster again killing the heat of about thirty guys in the process then we'll know he got his way again.

Oh and X-pac should be fired or at the very least punished otherwise it truly is the last days of WCW all over again.
