Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted June 13, 2002 Report Posted June 13, 2002 Is anybody going to watch this show tonight? I am watching just so that I can see the return of Darryl.
Guest Posted June 13, 2002 Report Posted June 13, 2002 I'll be watching Smackdown. Because TE and SD both conflict with each other where I live, SD wins. I can catch it over the weekend during one of 500 times MTV re-airs it anyway.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted June 13, 2002 Report Posted June 13, 2002 i wanna see the bootleg Real Worldish story that broke out between Jackie and Pete...o wait, in reality I couldnt careless
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 I'm watching because of Darryl.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 LOL! Tazz just ripped Darryl a new asshole. And Darryl walks off.
Guest bob_barron Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Anyone else think the Darryl-Tazz thing was scripted?
Guest Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Haha! That was awesome! Darryl deserved it for citing Hogan v. Slaughter as his favorite match.
Guest TheHulkster Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 I didn't think the Darryl-Tazz confrontation was scripted because when he came back, he looked like he was going to cry. Another thing, where's Bobbie Jo?
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Darryl also said, "I think people are jealous of my size because I'm the only one in here that's way bigger than everybody else, and everyone knows that the WWF is the land of the giants." Darryl is pure entertainment.
Guest TheHulkster Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Is it me or does Michael Cole look pissed off?
Guest Human Fly Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Does Darryl still think he's going to end up in the WWE?
Guest Shaved Bear Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Chris Harvard seems like a real arrogant crap and there were two other guys on TE1 that were "big" Chris Harvard, and the other guy with the steroids
Guest myburninghammer Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 They should have hired Alicia to play Jamie Knoble's girlfriend...she wouldn't have to act like white trash.
Guest Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Robert-Vs-Darryl! King-Of-The-Ring! Wooooooo! Not.
Guest BlackRainbow1025 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 No doubt, she is definitely white trash. Someone should've told her it was a Tough Enough reunion and not Springer. I thought she was going to start throwing her shoes or something. Am I the only one that hates Pete? I can't stand that guy. The whole season he was all about getting laid and getting drunk. He fucking sucked and yet he still runs his mouth. He wrestled Candido? Woo hoo! Candido is definitely a hot commodity. If I payed Jake Roberts $20 or a crack rock, I could probably wrestle him.....would that make me cool if I wrestled Jake the Snake?
Guest Shaved Bear Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 notice noone applauded when he said candido
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 If Darryl was a character instead of actually being a real life dickhead, he would be a great heel. He said that he really wanted to be on MTV instead of the WWF, which drew the ire of Tazz. His jaw hit the floor when Tazz started giving him the business, and him leaving the room was just great. If only Darryl was just acting and he was really a hoss deep down inside, we could have been treated to a great heel.
Guest franchise632 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 notice no one applauded when he said candido except for the 4 trainers who actually new who the hell Pete was talking about. He called him Skip, lol. Leave it to the girl who is from Oregon, my home state, to come off as the pure white trash that she is, damn it.
Guest converge241 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 I thought it was kind of blah but ALICIA !!! man i love her
Guest buffybeast Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 If I payed Jake Roberts $20 or a crack rock, I could probably wrestle him.....would that make me cool if I wrestled Jake the Snake? LMAO!!!!!!!!!! That's sad, really.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 What I want to know is why are the TE losers also offered contracts? They LOST, so why do they get a contract?
Guest buffybeast Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 What I want to know is why are the TE losers also offered contracts? They LOST, so why do they get a contract? Because WWF saw talent and long term potential in them, that's why. Remember how JR just drooled over big Matt at the TE II tryouts? JR was going to sign him whether he won the contest or not.
Guest Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Because WWF saw talent and long term potential in them I've never even watched any of the tough enough's, but don't you think there are a few indy guys i could name that they should sign, before just pulling people off the street?
Guest buffybeast Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Because WWF saw talent and long term potential in them I've never even watched any of the tough enough's, but don't you think there are a few indy guys i could name that they should sign, before just pulling people off the street? Yes, I agree. I am not condoning the Wee group's actions. I am simply trying to explain them and understand them. Supposedly the WWF likes to get the guys raw so they do not have to unlearn or untrain them. I also think that WWF has signed all the best talent from the indys already, sans many cruisers.
Guest franchise632 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 I've never even watched any of the tough enough's, but don't you think there are a few indy guys i could name that they should sign, before just pulling people off the street? I would agree with that statement, but if the names you are thinking of are the usual suspects of the indy scene, I am to the point where for the most part I would rather they stay on the indies because Vince has shown he wont know how to use them. Thats just me. Another interesting note on the offering of deals to 'losers'. WWE paid Jake from TE2 $1000 to not be able to compete with any company for 6 months. Im not sure if this pertains to indies but I know it is in fact a direct move against him signing with the Jarret promotion. Which while not a great talent he would have some name value from the show, and in 6 months no one will really give a damn about him. Jake must be hard up for cash if he made that deal for just a grand. Apparently his slow learning is affecting his buisness dealings. I still can't believe he told Kevin f'n Dunn he was a slow learner, talk about making sure you dont get a spot. Idiot.
Guest TheDames7 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 So, are you saying that anyone who goes on Tough Enough, yet loses should be automatically dq'ed from getting a contract with WWE ever? Dames
Guest TheDames7 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Oh, and that reminds me. Matt from TE2 said that he got a 3 year developmental deal on the show. In TE1, they said that the winners (Maven & Nidia) would get a 1 year guaranteed contract. IMO, they probably only offered the originals a year because they werent sure if the show would flop. I wonder if they're contracts have been extended to match Matt's because I think its wrong that a "loser" would have a better contract than the winner. Dames
Guest RetroRob215 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 But what is the motivation in winning the competition if you could score a contract even if you lose? It kills the credibility and meaning of the show if any of the contestants will be given contracts. Plus, if the WWF really saw something in Chris Havard, why not sign him over Nidia who has sat on the sidelines for the last year.
