What if it is a work?

Would it be the greatest work of all-time?  If not, what is?

Or would it be looked down upon by the 'net fans for their usual cynical, ass-backwards reasons?

I don't really know because I still consider it a shoot, but I'm just wondering.

i'm 99.9% sure it's a shoot, and i'm prepared to be wrong, but if it ain't what the hell will they do? they'll have him come in at the end of one raw and stunner everyone and drink beer. That's been cool enough for like 4 years, but it won't do ANYTHING to the ratings or the product. He's had a marvellous career, done it all inthe wwf/e so he can go.

I think the greatest angle ever would probably be bash at the beach 96. C'mon...

It is a work now. Obviously it started as a shoot.

I think that it is a shoot.  If I'm wrong, then it won't be the first time.

Best angle of all time is Savage destroying Steamboat's throat with the ringbell.

It is a shoot. If it is a work than several things don't make sense. If it was a work, why does the website list him as not on the active roster instead of fired? If it was a work, they would have just said he was fired. Also, if it was a work it would make no sense. No casual fans even knew there was something wrong and booking for the internet community won't work. I believe Austin just screwed Vince over 1 too many times. This is the 2nd time he has walked out on the WWE when he was going to be the main focus point of the show. The first time his match was going to be the catalyst for the split, but he got it changed and no showed the programs for the next 2 weeks. This time he was going to be the main focus of the show, because the week before Flair became his personal servant and he made them totally rewrite the storylines and redo Flair vs McMahon when no storylines were even remotely leading that way. He also screwed over Eddy and Benoit by walking out.

If it is a work, let me just say that this is a hell of a lot to go through just to spike the ratings for Confidential. *thinks for a second* Although they do have that Bobby Heenan interview, which should get any self-respecting "Brain" fan watching so.... ??? They don't really need that spike this early in the show's existence, so I'm convinced, it's a shoot.

As for greatest work, I'm not sure, but I guess Vince revealing himself as the owner of the WWF and feuding with Austin.

Let me rephrase what I said earlier. It isn't a work yet. Until they come to terms with Austin, it's a shoot. But they're going to turn it into a work if they get the chance.

How about this little mind frell:

What if Austin planned all of this?

Say he's legit unhappy with things, to the point where he says to himself, "Fuck it, I wanna leave anyway."  So he decides to walk....but not before devising an angle which will make him the hottest commodity in the promotion again.

First step, he walks on RAW.

Thus forcing the WWF to make this a situation that HAS to be resolved.  It's a "shoot", which he then expects them to turn into an angle for damage control reasons.  They come to him to resolve things, the resolution being this whole mess being turned into one big worked angle where he once again gets thrust into the forefront of the promotion with the mother of all Austin vs. Management feuds.

This is presuming that they'd want to resolve things with him, want to turn this into an angle, but if Austin has the attitude of "I wanna go anyway, might as well turn this into one last angle to make me some cash", than he wouldn't care even if they chose to dump him for his actions.

But just imagine.....what if Austin planned this all.....one big scheme....why, Stone Cold would have swerved ALL of us.  Fuck you, HHH, we'd know who the real Cerebral Assassin was.....

Hell, I know I'm giving him too much credit, but I'd love for this to be one giant, insidiously devious plan by Austin.  It'd make me all giddy inside!

I guess we are just as bad as every one else who thinks that nothing in wrestling that happens can be real. I think the time when Bubba Ray pretended to hurt his leg so that he could put the busty paramedic through a table was the best. I really thought he was hurt because he was yelling, "Oh God! Not now! Not now!"

"Greatest" Work ever? Can we say HBK knowing all a long about Bret getting Screwed? Can we call that a work?

Also, if this is a work. Then most of the board is gonna be like "Well, Um, Yeah, I knew it all a long."

Oh Yeah, if this is a work? I'll never bad mouth the Writing Team again. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Yeah right!

Personally, I think the entire Montreal incident in itself was a work...

As for the greatest...I'll say the HBK collapse from 95, just because I was convinced for almost 5 years that it was 100% shoot.
