I know he's not that great of a wrestler(well actually he is if he won the NCAA's, but WWF only let's him do big man stuff), but I just have a soft spot in my heart for the big bad monster heel guys. I really marked out tonight when he stepped in front of Heyman to get in HBK's face. GODDAMNIT I LOVE WHEN HE DOES THAT!! What do you all think of Brock?

Take a look at Leviathan/Deacon Batista for example. That's a much scarier looking guy. Brock could use different hair, or a beard, or something.

I think his "baby face" adds to his character...Like he's this young force of nature psycho.I marked out huge when he stood toe to toe with Nash. I would love to see Brock make a face turn down the line. Once he busts out the Shooting Star, everyone will cheer for him. By the way, has anybody actually seen him do the move?

Anywhoo, I'm not overly impressed with Lesnar as he is presented how. I marked out incredibly when he came in for the first time. But I soon became bored with his "monster" gimmick. I've read so much about how great he is, how he can do amazing things for a man his size, etc. I'm still waiting to see these things. Brock is about 6'3. He's not considered to be a "big man" like my Albert. But Brock is 285 pounds, which is massive for his height.

Heyman doesn't need a stable of guys, he doesn't need a group like the NWO or any of his ECW boyz, he has Lesnar and that's all he needs... And he knows it. I was IMPRESSED (to say the least) when Lesnar caught booker t's kick, it looked like he was going to fuck up, pause, and do it again, but instead just continued relying on BRUTE STRENGTH! Amazing.

He looks scary enough, can toss people around with enough ease, but he's shown none of the natural charisma that Golberg had (in the ring, mind you) and his character has been royally fucked over to the point that he'll never be a true monster again. I mean, Brock is essentially the second-coming of Scott Nortan, if you ask me. The handling of Brock is the type of thing that finally killed the Golberg character in WCW when they turned him heel and had him running in fear of Booker T and hiding behind the New Blood and so on. They're trying to rebuild Lesnar by putting him in there with bigger guys, but it's too late to re-capture what they first had. The second you have to be saved by your manager to avoid being pinned by the Hardy Boyz, or you're selling Shawn Stasiak's offense, fuck it, you're done. Monster heel, he aint.

Guest cabbageboy Posted June 18, 2002 Report Posted June 18, 2002 I have in fact seen Brock do the shooting star. It was an awesome sight seeing a 300 lb guy do that, and it was BETTER than Kidman's! Kidman just puts the guy near the ropes, but Brock had this guy in the center of the ring and did a shooting star on him. My jaw dropped. That said, until he does that shit on TV he should not get near a main event.
