Guest y2jailbait Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Brock Lesnar not over? WTF? I mean what is "over"? Is it when a heel gets face pops on his way out? Well, that kinda detracts from the purpose of heel characters. He gets heat on his way out, i mean he's not gonna get Angle heat, and with good reason, he damn well hasnt been around or acheived as much as Angle. I mean I hear all this ranting about Brock be an unover piece of crap, come on. If Lesnar isnt over, Niether is Guerrero, Flair, HHH, Undertaker F"N Hurricane(which i always hear he's over) and so many other main eventers in the WWE right now. Who is over? Angle, Jericho, Hogan. Hell, if thats what you want as your main eventers, well, what a painful death it will be. Discuss what is "over" and tell me who is and who isnt, cause lord knows im confused!
Guest chirs3 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 If I'm right, and I think I am, over just means gets a crowd reaction. If a heel gets booed, he is over as a heel. HOW over is subjective. If a face gets cheered, he's over as a face. HOW over is subjective. Brock Lesnar doesn't get a whole hell of a lot of boos.
Guest Anubis Puppet Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 If Brock was getting booed like crazy every time he came out, he'd be over. Since nobody cares about him right now, the crowd always sits on their hands whenever his music hits. That's another thing, his music absolutely sucks ass.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Dealing with the most basic of definitions, "over" means you get a reaction, whether it's boos or cheers... Obviously, if you're classified as a heel, you'd want boos, and a classified face would want cheers. You do not want indifference or apathy (which is what it comes off as when Lesnar comes out). So, again, "over" does not mean a pop a face would get, it just means a clear reaction.
