Guest Angle-plex Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Do you think Hogan came back just to try to change the way everyone else thought of him backstage? When he came in everyone was saying he wouldn't job to anyone, but now he's jobber to everyone. He even jobbed to Angle clean. I think Hogan is doing the right thing by coming back and doing the better things for the company. Now if only he would job to RVD........... (I'm sure he'll have to job to Lesnar first).
Guest Downhome Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I love how they are using Hogan, while at the same time I hate it. After being a Hogan fan for so many years, it's almost evil to see him tap cleanly to anyone, ESPECIALLY as a face. But, it's the end for Hogan soon (1-3 years remember, bwahahahahahaha), and he's doing what he should be doing. However... ...don't get too excited, because I smell a few HUGE wins for Hogan in the very near future.
Guest Incandenza Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Though he wound up getting his win back, I do take a small amount of pleasure in that Triple H is the only guy to not have a win over Hogan at a PPV since his return. I take even greater pleasure in that Rock and Angle are the only ones to hold a PPV clean win.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Personally, I won't be happy til he jobs to Kidman
Guest Ash Ketchum Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 He has at least one more win at SS when he beats Vince... I think. It's all a matter of when... not if.
Guest Dangerous A Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I was shocked and satisfied when Hogan put Angle over clean last night. But Angle is not out of the woods yet. Kidman also beat Hogan and Hogan went on to make that win look as insignificant as possible. If they play up the win huge on SD, then that will rock. But if they start talking rematch at Vengeance, I smell Hogan getting his heat back. We will see.
Guest joshicho Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 He should be gone by Summerslam right?
Guest Dangerous A Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 We can only hope and pray, Joshicho. We can only hope and pray.
Guest joshicho Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Well as long as he gets his pin over Vince and is gone, theres nothin else for him to do, other than bring ratings down

Yes, but in the Kidman examples, the wins were all flukey in that there was interfearence a plenty and sometimes it was a handicap situation where Mike Awesome would do most of the work and Kidman would get the pins. Angle, on the other hand, got a clean submission. It's not like Hogan can make that sound not valuable without making himself look bad at the same time.
Guest Austin3164life Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Well as long as he gets his pin over Vince and is gone, theres nothin else for him to do, other than bring ratings down Hogan might get a big win at Summerslam. Survivor Series is the event where he first lost his momentum in his prime (when Undertaker pinned him and got a big pop). I think Hogan is going to get a win over Vince (should've been an Austin/Hogan match) and then he might either retire at Survivor Series, or begin his waning period. I, too, am glad that Hogan has jobbed to the right people (Rock, Angle). It's the least he can do to add to his legacy.......
Guest Redhawk Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 I'm also shocked and glad that Hogan tapped to Angle, but you know that in the long run, wins and losses don't matter to the fans. Seriously, how many times did The Rock lose during his big bayface run of 2000? A lot. Sure, Angle made Hogan tap, but all Hogan has to do is go for the wig on Smackdown and everyone will forget about it. Either that, or Angle's gloating about the win will make Hogan look sympathetic. Either way, Hogan -- or any other main event babyface -- is never affected too much by a loss until the company decides they don't need them anymore.
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 i'm liking the way that hogan is being used as well. he is still easily one of the most over guys in the company, and he obviously has no problem doing the job now. if he can keep his heat and legacy alive and well, while at the same time elevate other talents and allow himself to get defeated, then it is a new Hulk Hogan.
