Guest BigTim2002 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 It seems that when Vince brings in somebody new, like Brock, Rey, Jaime Knoble, it's like he feels that he needs to change the way that they wrestle. Now, if Brock was the monster he was in OVW, and if Rey could be jumpy ol Ray again, and Jaime Knoble was a technically sound wrestler, then all would be fine. Is there anybody who agrees with me on this? Because I have a feeling that Vince is kinda going overboard with all the bs gimmicks...
Guest y2jailbait Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Gimmicks get fans interested in the character is his line of thinking, hence why Jamie is a hick (which i love) and Brock is a silent monster and hell Rey wont even get time to speak probably and just be a mask wearing luchadore. But the gimmicks also turn people of to a great wrestler. Stasiak was kinda cool as the Mecca Of Manhood, and it showed his style of WRESTLING better, but as Planet Stasiak, the gimmick just engulfs him and really kills the crowd appreciation of his skills. Yeah, bad example, but still a credible one none the less.
Guest Flyboy Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 "jumpy 'ol Rey" sucks Umm... in his WCW heyday.. he ruled. You just don't like cruisers, that's why.
