Sometimes I wonder if it's Fierro who's working us. I can't imagine how anybody could be that stupid.

An internet critic saying that people shouldn't criticize. And he wonders why people bash him.

He doesn't say anything negative in his columns because he wants a job. His Raw reviews consist of:

I think RAW was good

That was a good idea

An overall good show

The main event wasn't just good, it was great!

He just sucks up to the WWE so he can get a job. He would most likely eat Vince's ass and say it was good.

"For those people that bash our business at any chance they get, I have just one question to ask you. Why do you watch?"

Hah, now it's *his* business.. Didn't know he was a wrassler..

"Usually on Tuesday's, I write my Raw review, but not today. I'm fired up! Last year I wrote a similar column like I'm going to write today and it went over huge with the majority of my readers. I called out all the internet writers and fans and put them in their places. "

He did WHAT!? Put us in our places? We should all chip in and get this man a lobotomy so we can put HIM in his place. Does he even realize that his columns are mocked by the Internet community? If he took his cock out of Ryder's ass and actually read his feedback, he'd know who's truly putting who in their place.

Damn, I'm pissed.

Somebody should e-mail him a link to this thread so he can see what people outside of "his" business think.

Actually he was an indy wrestler or indy promoter at some time, I've heard. Hard to believe. Maybe he took too many chair shots.

Gosh, where do I even start? I hate when internet fans/writers rate matches with stars. Okay, I'll start here. What makes a match four stars? What makes a match three stars? What makes a match no stars? This is complete bull! These guys are out their risking their lives for you, the viewer, and you're rating their matches with stars? If someone would have went through twenty-five tables, would that have been an extra star? If someone broke their leg, would that have been an extra two stars? If someone died in the match, would that had made it a five star classic?
There's a difference between judging how good a wrestler is and judging how entertaining a match was. I could see if he was using the usual "If you haven't experienced it, then don't judge!" argument for judging a wrestler, but not how 'entertaining' a match is.

Yeah, someone should e-mail him links to all the threads based on his stupidity.

It's Fiero, who gives a shit what he thinks? Honestly, leave the guy to his own devices, and he'll either a) wind up serving Pat Paterson his Carmel Mocca Frapichino's every day or B) wind up working for 1dumbfuckwrestling his entire life. Who cares?

Unless you have been in the ring and laced up the boots, I don't believe ANYONE should be rating matches. I don't care who you are, you have no right saying this match was only "two stars" if you've never taken a bump before.

Should we tell him that ratings for matches are usually based on how entertaining the match is to watch, or let him continue rambling?

And for a guy who's down on negativity, he sure HATES a lot, doesn't he?

Another thing I hate is when I read stuff like "It was a good match, but they screwed up a few spots." Big freaking deal that they messed up a few spots. Can you do better? Can you go in that ring and do better than Chris Jericho and RVD did this past Sunday? God, I hate internet fans/writers like this. I'm not calling out the entire internet, because I know there are many of you out there that love this business and respect it regardless if guys miss spots or not. But for you internet fans/writers that jump on the net and bash a match because the guys missed a few spots in a match, as Chris Jericho would say, "Would you please shut the hell up!"

This is crap to me as well. Does Fierro call up every sportscaster on Monday mornings and say "you shouldn't have criticized Donovan McNabb for throwing that wounded duck pass over the middle that got picked off. Could you or have you gone out on the field and done better". If anybody does anything that is in the public eye they are subjecting themselves to criticism, it goes with the territory. The next time someone on tv criticizes the President I'll be waiting for Fierro's column saying that they can't do that because they've never been President.

So by his logic, only actors should be movie critics and only other singers can voice their opinion on which songs they like. Great job there Fierro.

Fierro is a tool.

His articles are just random ideas he thought of while jerking off hoping Unlce Vince was gonna give him a job.

Normally I'm kinda reserved and don't try to flame anyone for having an opinion but I can't hold it in any longer...

And as for the "negative" smarks, I don't think I saw one negative comment on the Y2J/RVD match here on the board. In reality you guys, like me, are really passionate about wrestling.

"TDT: WILL THE NEGATIVE INTERNET WRITERS/FANS PLEASE 'SHUT THE HELL UP'

by Tommy Fierro 6/25/2002 12:18:00 PM

Usually on Tuesday's, I write my Raw review, but not today. I'm fired up! Last year I wrote a similar column like I'm going to write today and it went over huge with the majority of my readers. I called out all the internet writers and fans and put them in their places. It was probably the most feedback I had ever received on a column before. I really enjoyed reading Chris Jericho's commentary on his website yesterday and couldn't agree with him more. If you didn't read his column about internet fans/writers, go read it now before continuing to read my column. You can check it out at: www.ChrisJericho.com.

Okay....You're back? Lets begin.

I don't care if you love my columns or hate my columns, one thing I'm not in my columns is negative. I hate negativity. In Chris Jericho's commentary, he was ticked off that various writers on the internet were putting his PPV match down, some going as far as saying it was sloppy and horrible. I for one thought both guys busted their asses and put together a damn good entertaining match.

Unless you have been in the ring and laced up the boots, I don't believe ANYONE should be rating matches. I don't care who you are, you have no right saying this match was only "two stars" if you've never taken a bump before. I feel as though it's very disrespectful to the workers that are going out there and risking everything they have to make you the fan, entertained.

But for you internet fans/writers that jump on the net and bash a match because the guys missed a few spots in a match, as Chris Jericho would say, "Would you please shut the hell up!"

You just can't make some people happy. I'm not even talking about just matches, I'm talking about anything. There are some people that will bash me regardless of what I write about. It could be the nicest day of the summer outside and I could say, "Man, the sky is so crystal blue." An hour later some internet mark will be bashing me saying, "Fierro has done it again. What a jerk. I saw a cloud in the sky." Some people just love being negative all of the time.

For those people that bash our business at any chance they get, I have just one question to ask you. Why do you watch? Are you a fan of this business? If your answer is yes, than why don't you look at the positive things instead of singling out all of the negative things? Is the WWE doing great right now? Of course it's not. But I'll be damned if I come on 1Wrestling every day and bash it into the ground like other "writers" do. I always try and look at the positive things in life. To those that say you're fans but always bash everything, I'd like you to do something.

I want you to make believe for one minute that there's no more WWE, no more NWA TNA, no more independent wrestling, no more wrestling period. Close your eyes and do this.

Seriously..Close your eyes and do this.

How did that feel? If it felt really weird not having any wrestling in your life, than maybe you should think about not being so negative towards the business and enjoy it for all it's worth."

Strange, he wants to put us in our places, however what does he consider himself? All he does is analyze the subliminal things in wrestling like we all do, and he bitches as well. I don't get why he's bashing smarks, when he IS one......

If we give a million monkeys a million typewriters and a million years, they will eventually produce something greater then Tommy's column.

Hell, if we give one monkey a piece of coal and ten minutes, he could produce something better then Tommy's column.

By this logic, movie goers should never have the right to say if a movie was good or not unless they've acted in a multi-million dollar summer blockbuster.

It truly is a testament to Tommy's undying good hearted stupidity that most people consider the very site he works for to be one of the most subliminaly anti-WWF stops on the net, yet he is spouting off about how negative the "rest of the net is". The guy was always a bandwagon jumper though.
