Guest BoboBrazil Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 This week's edition of Raw is War scored a 3.7 cable rating, with a 6.0 share. That is down from last week's 3.9. The show did hours of 3.5 and 3.9.
Guest §uperÛnknown Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 Alienating Austin's fans via trashing him on live TV = Not good for business.
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 I found RAW bland this week, and nothing really stuck out. My friends and myself talked through almost all of it for this reason.
Guest BoboBrazil Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 What is really bad about this number is that it came the night after a ppv when usually interest is supposed to be a high. Usually Raw's after ppvs do higher numbers.
Guest Razor Roman Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 I guess they will be abruptly aborting Brock Lesnar's push too.

Guest Some Guy Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 Also turning a guy face and then not having him win a match on Raw or wrestle at KOTR is a bad idea. Putting a guy with no heat over a guy with tons of face heat at KOTR and tehn booking a weak as DQ finish to the rematch is a bad idea. Booking teh World Champ in a program with Jeff hardy is a bad idea. Pushing the nWo is a bad idea considering that the only one in the group who ever drew anything can't wrestle again. Having an ingured guy who just lost a title match punk out the Rock is a bad idea. Not haveing the Rock or Flair on TV is a bad idea. Creating and wasting time with a Jeff hardy/Taker history package is a bad idea. Did i miss soemthing?
Guest Prince Paul Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 Hopefully they abort Lesnar's push, not RVD's. RVD needs to step up, if they let him. It's time for the summer of RVD damn it. Enough of this other stupid shit.
Guest wolverine Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 Slowly but surely, they're heading back to the 2's. I guess things come full circle in 5 years (last time they were in the 2's was '97).
Guest goodhelmet Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 well, i can honestly say I am glad the ratings dropped even more. hopefully, vince just forgets this stupid roster split altogether and combines the roster again. it's also a sign that it's time for a major house cleaning of old talent, bad writers and backstage politicians. plus, if you watched King of the Ring, the ppv gave you absolutely NO reason to tune into the show the next day. Not one. That's why I didn't watch and probably won't for the forseeable future.

Guest Austin3164life Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 Alienating Austin's fans via trashing him on live TV = Not good for business. Agreed. Very bad idea. I second that. Giving fans a false hope of Austin returning is not always helpful to the company. Not to mention elevating green big wrestlers with no charisma. Vince just loves those big men, damnit!!
Guest Shaved Bear Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 booker/goldust and RVD are the only reasons to watch raw, with of course the hope of Benoit wrestling soon enough
Guest Dangerous A Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 Just to state a fact, the last 2 Raw's ratings after the last 2 ppv's have been below the previous week's number. Sign of the times. Need to step up in EVERY direction. Talent. Storylines. Elevating. Approach. Everything needs to be stepped up big time or we are looking at another 92-95ish era all over.
Guest Austin3164life Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 booker/goldust and RVD are the only reasons to watch raw, with of course the hope of Benoit wrestling soon enough I will also second that as well. Booker T is emerging as one of my favorites (along with Angle and Benoit)......the crowd is begging to cheer him......
Guest CanadianChris Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 I will also second that as well. Booker T is emerging as one of my favorites (along with Angle and Benoit)......the crowd is begging to cheer him...... I thought the crowd was pretty solidly behind him last night. Now, if they'd only give him a big win...wait a minute, what the hell am I saying? Ex-WCW guys can't get big wins.
Guest Austin3164life Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 The crowd is slowly starting to cheer him. He got a good pop, but it's not like a "holy shit the crowd loves Booker T" pop. But, sadly, you're right, unless you belong to the clique, if you were in WCW you aren't going anywhere, damnit!!
Guest Vyce Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 What's the current line on when Austin returns? I say by the time they start hitting 2.0 every week.
