Guest Kojack Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 What is the flock. Im pretty sure its a stable and if so who was in it?
Guest Insanityman Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 Well in WCW, it was Raven's flock. It was all the misfits of WCW and it had... Reese, Billy Kidman (as a depressed dude), Sick Boy, Lodi, Riggs... maybe (I think Lodi), and then Saturn was once in it then feuded with it. Don't trust me. For the most part I'm wrong.
Guest Kojack Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 So it was a band of losers who like always jobbed?
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted June 25, 2002 Report Posted June 25, 2002 Basically... They also fueded with DDP and other midcards. They would sit ringside and interfere with matches. There was even a "Raven's Rules" stipulation where Raven could swap himself out of a match for one of his flock members. Those matches were fun to watch...
Guest Army Eye Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 So it was a band of losers who like always jobbed? Yeah all except Raven, and Saturn who was the 'enforcer' of the group. The rest were total jobbers.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 Basically, when they weren't feuding with former members, the flock just ganged up on whoever Raven was feuding with.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 How can you forget Reese? It also helped to get Kidman over.
Guest Nezbyte Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 Raven had a group in ECW too, it was called "Raven's Nest." The Flock was great.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 The Flock was my favorite storyline since I saw the first bit's of it from WCW, then later some in ECW. The fact that it might happen in WWF can make me turn a blind eye to...I dunno... everything that isn't the Flock and BookDust
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 So the Flock kind of sounds like a mix of the Job Squad, the Horsemen, and the nWo, stirred for flavor?
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 Only it has Raven cutting his really kick-ass self-loathing promo's that got him so much attention in ECW. Hell, he even made references to ECW in WCW, calling it "high school." Okerlund: Now, Raven, why have you and Saturn gotten back together as a tag team? Raven: Well, ya see, Gene, me and Saturn went to high school together. We were best friends, but even then we fought all the time. I remember back in high school me and Perry fought over this girl named Beulah McGuillicutty... Saturn: That wasn't me, that was Tommy! Raven: Oh yeah, right... I wicked marked-out for that. Raven's Flock was just insanely over because WCW let Raven have almost complete control over it. Remember when people actually CARED about Scotty Riggs? It was because of his feud with The Flock, which later lead to him becoming a member.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted June 26, 2002 Report Posted June 26, 2002 Raven's Flock was just insanely over because WCW let Raven have almost complete control over it. I remember a Keith rant where he mentioned something about that. He thought it was due to Raven's influence that it had a whole bunch of creepy homoerotica references... Or something. I don't know where that came from, but it's in one of his rants somewhere. I think it was the one where he compared Hogan to Hitler.

The Flock had many homesexual nuances that probably flew over almost everyone's heads. In ECW he did plenty of this too, but as usual no one really noticed it. Still, the Flock angle did rule.
