since they feel the need to Suffocate the Tag titles on one show, where there is No viable Opposing tag team on it, who would you form on the Smackdown team into a tag team?

Perhaps

"Thrillseekers" Jericho and Storm get back together offcially

Since they been tagging lately

Christian & Test

DVon Dudley Deacon Batista

Sho Funaki Tajiri

Kidman & Hurricane

It seems to me that, logically, every wrestler on Smackdown that isn't:

A) A plausible contender for the Undisputed title (I'd extend this to HHH, Hogan, Jericho, Angle, and even Edge)

B) A Cruiserweight

C) A Woman

Should be in a tag team going for the Tag Titles. Because, with the exception of King of the Ring recently, there are NO singles wrestling goals for any guy above 225 that isn't one of the 5 I mentioned in choice A.

I would suggest these teams:

Storm/Christian (Maybe throw in Jericho since he isn't doing anything as a Canadian Freebirds-esque team.)

D-Von/Batista

Snow/Maven

Val/Hardcore

T & A

Rikishi/Orton? (I can't think of anywhere else to put these guys)

Faarooq/Henry

Morrus/Saturn (when he returns)

That accounts for everyone on the WWE Smackdown roster page that isn't in one of my three categories, except for Godfather and DDP. DDP is retiring, and really who cares about the Godfather. Let him play up a gimmick where people offer to be his tag partner, since he's a former tag champ, but he refuses, fully believing he's a main eventer that's gonna get an Undisputed title shot soon. It'd be more entertaining than most things he's ever done.

How about a Mike Awesome/Chris Kanyon team?

They're both coming back soon.

First, they have got to get the belts floating between shows. Otherwise it doesn't make much sense to even have tag teams on Raw, like the Hardiy Boys.

I think they should put the NWO into tag team competition, since of the four members they have two wrestlers (well, okay, one and a half). Nash and HBK can be mouthpieces/managers, constantly cheating on behalf of X-Pac and Show.

Have Booker T and Golddust do more tagging. Hell, I'd even go so far as to put the belts on them.

Reunite the Dudleys and the Hardy Boys. Sure, we've seen them 1000 times, but we'll probably need some established teams in there to remind everyone how the tag team matches work,

Other possible teams:

Regal and Harvard "The Perfect Gentlemen" or something would be a good name!

Triple H by himself, since he usually beats up four guys per match so two at once shouldn't be a big deal.

I was kidding about that last one.

Awesome/Kanyon would be cool, but I would rather they come back to Raw. Has it been said which show they're going to yet?

Awesome could rise through the singles ranks more easily on Raw, and I would maybe throw Kanyon in the Booker/Goldust mix for a bit.

Kanyon: Who Betta than Kanyon?

Booker T: I'll tell you who better than Kanyon, the FIVE-TIME WCW Champion, Booker T betta than Kanyon! Now can you dig THAT? SSSUUUCCCKKAAAAA!!!

Goldust: Yeah, and you know who else betta than Kanyon? GOLDUST betta than Kanyon, SSSSUUUUUUCCCKKKAAA!!

Booker T: Tell me he didn't just say that? TELL me you didn't just say that!

Kanyon: Guys, guys, guys. I'm talking about in the ring, not in bed! Tell me Booker T, when it comes to suckas, Who Betta than Goldust?

Goldust: Tell me he didn't just say that? TELL me you didn't just say that!

Booker T: Man, sucka, how many times I gotta tell you, STOP using my catchphrases.

Builds up a match between two good wrestlers, with a subtle homage to Rock & Sock as well. This stuff just writes itself. Given how well written things have been lately, maybe it should.

But dammit, now we're off topic, and I really have nothing else to add to the main topic except FLOAT THE TAG TITLES!

Most of the contenders for the tag titles that can be possibly thrown together are heels. Dvon and deacon, any 2 members of the new canadian mafia, Tajiri/Chavo...they just need to take 2 developmental guys that no one's ever seen before on TV, stick them together in a babyface tag team, and push them to title conteders, if the chemistry/crowd reaction isn't there, fine, just have them lose, split up, whatever. Just no more of this Rikishi/Partner nonsense.

I still don't see why tazz n spike didn't get them back, they've been the most over champions in a while. if ANYONE beats these useless bastards now they'll get over. Maven and Orton, even if they're just transitional it'd be an over move. Then have some new monster team kill them. soon as saturn's back he needs to team with kanyon ASAP and use total elimination. but the first step is to get the tag belts on both shows, cos they only over teams (bookerdust and hardyz) are on raw.

Best idea I've heard yet...

... which, of course, means it will never happen.

I like the titles being on Billy and Chuck - it will stabilize the titles and give it credibility once the tag team division actually gets moving agian.

You can only have credibility as champ if you defeat some actual contenders. B and C haven't really done this. I would have some jobber transition team beat them, then put the titles on Storm/Christian.

Lance Storm and Christian would make a good team. Christian has the charisma, Storm has the talent (so does Christian). They could be viewed as the threat from up North or something of that sort, but that all depends if they are booked to look dominant/credible at least.......WWE logic goes against that since they're not 6'10 and weigh 300lbs......

You could always bring Scott Hall back into the WWE and give him the Tag Team titles so that he can throw them in the garbage like he did with the WCW Television title. :)

It seems as if the WWE wants the tag title scene to die, or at least be low for the moment. They split up the Dudley Boyz. They split up Edge & Christian. They are teasing another Hardyz split attempt. They just don't care.

The New Eliminators (Saturn/Morrus) might be what they are waiting on. There was talks of it before Saturn was injured, so maybe they just want to tone it down until then?

The Impact Players could be reformed. Dawn Marie is even there now. Justin Credible isn't doing anything. Sure, Lance Storm is starting with the WWE version of team Canada now, but I would rather attempt to save the tag division.

The Innovators of Offense. A team that I made in EWR. Chris Kanyon & Nova. The WWE can bring Nova up when Kanyon is healthy. They could get over by being innovative babyfaces. Not that hard.

The split is a non factor. The WWE have teased trades for awhile, so anything is possible.

They need to bring up someone from the D-league and have them win the title, or have them lose to Maven (when he gets back) & Al Snow. Then Maven/Snow could lose to any of the heel combos listed above. Then we'll have the same problems all over again. They need more face teams.

Guest RickyChosyu

If they had them circulating between both shows, I would say Benoit/Guererro is the ideal team to have them.

I think Storm and Christian as Tag champs would be a pretty good quick fix for now. Build some other tags around them and the division can be good again.

Guest dreamer420

got the tag title division to work the brand extension will have to be killed. there are no tag teams in the wwe right now so week and and week out we will get billy and chuck defending their belts against whatever two faces the bookers stick together.

I second that. All in favor?

I don't care who they make into a tag team, nor do I care who they give the belts to. The most important thing is that they need to make the belts available to both Raw and Smackdown. They should've done this from the beginning.

I still don't see why tazz n spike didn't get them back, they've been the most over champions in a while.

Maybe because they're a combined 5 feet tall? They looked just ridiculous in the ring compared to everyone they were facing. They literally looked like children when facing Chuck & Billy.

Two things

1. If they are going to create a New Eliminators type of team, it should be Kanyon and Saturn, not Morrus and Saturn. As far as Hugh goes, maybe you should apply for a cushy backstage agent job buddy, cause you, ,unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, have no chance of ever getting over or going anywhere in the WWE.

2. Tazz and Spike, and the 5 foot tall jokes are stupid and gay. They were both over as hell in ECW and they were over as hell as WWF tag champs. Much better choices to hold the gold then Billy and Chuck who almost no one gives a damn about.

Tazz and Spike=over with the fans

Billy and Chuck=their physiques give Vince a woody

Who gets the straps? Just turn on your TV on Thursdays and find out, just another fine example of the WWE "giving the fans what they want". Just like we all want to see Vince 20+ minutes a show. ARGH
