Why do bad things happen to good people?

Genuine question, it seems like a lot of bad luck occurs to those who genuinely don't deserve it. Does anybody else find this?

 

Or do you feel it's spread out evenly around everybody?

I've had some really shitty luck over the years. Then again, my bipolar disorder probably contributed to half the stuff. But I have had horrible luck with women, that's for certain.

That's strange you should say that. I'm not claiming there's any direct correlation of course, but the person that inspired this thread is also bi-polar.
