Hi, tomorrow I am thnking of getting the Wrestlemania Box Set released in 1999. I know they got some left at The World (formely WWF New York). But does anyone else know where I can buy them. Also, are there any like extras in the box set?

I wouldn't buy it if I were you. The tapes in the box set are in LP mode and there is rumored to be a WrestleMania DVD collection coming out within the next year.

Try Sam Goody or Suncoast. But I wouldn't bother.

Rumors on these things never seem to happen though. There was rumored there would be a HHH video/DVD to followup "My Time" shortly after HHH ditched Chyna for Stephanie in storylines.

It wasn't true, it just persisted until it finally happened.

WWE doesn't have much choice in the matter. Most major retail outlets are starting to stop carrying VHS tapes. If they want to keep selling home video, they are going to have to move their stuff to DVD.

Actually, the 1999 box set was in SLP, I believe. And yes, the VQ does suck. -Jim

I also own the wrestlemania box set and would recommend you buy it if you can find it.

I've seen it at most local video stores, Suncoast and the like. I'm pretty sure you can still buy it off of WWE Shopzone.

I wouldn't waste my money on all the tapes though, I'd only buy the good Wrestlemanias. A lot of them suck (I, II, VII, IX, XI, XII, XIII, XV), and are not worth owning...

That's weird. VII and IX are probably my favorites. Diff'rent strokes.... -Jim

I think I'll get it when it comes out on DVD since I don't have a VCR player...or an actual DVD player as a matter of fact, but I do have a PS2!!! (God bless the wonder machine)

I have Wrestlemania's 1-14 in a box set. They were $50 off of Ebay. A friend borrowed Wrestlemania 9 along time ago, and I haven't seen it since. So, I got 13 Wrestlemania's. That's not bad.

It looks cool, but I want 1-20 on DVD, whenever Wrestlemania 20 happens.

Whoa whoa whoa, I'm all for Diff'rent strokes and all, but you are honestly the first person I've ever heard claim IX as one of their favorite WrestleManias. I personally find absolutely nothing at all redeeming on that card at all, and I'd like to hear why it's one of your favorites.

For the record, I like VIII, XVI, and XVII best overall. They all have their crappy parts though.

WrestleMania IX did suck, but the atmosphere was cool and there were 2 good matches on the card, that being Headshrinkers vs. Steiners and Bret vs. Yokozuna. No, they weren't MOTY candidates, but I think that they are underrated.

Agreed IX was just weird and fun to watch. Plus I am a Macho Man fan big time and loved all of his commentary. I think it was WM IX when he was trying to hype the size of the crowd and said something like "They are hanging from the rafters (3 second pause) if there were rafters!" Oof, I thinking I am mixing up like 3 different events in my head actually. IX had the chloroform Undertaker match right? Outdoors? Agh...MY MIND!

Do the box sets all have the scratch WWF logo in the corner for the pre-attitude Wrestlemanias?

Yeah, I own a few of them, and its just flat out weird to see the scratch logo in the corner while Strike Force is getting their ass beat by Demolition...

Wrestlemania 9 did suck big time, but 15 is the absolute worst Mania if you ask me.
