Guest O.J. Hart Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 W know JR loves them hosses. From Bradshaw and Albert to Matt from TE2, JR loves em'. And when they wrestle, you know what JR does? He has a hoss orgasm. He says "Wow he's a big son of a gun. He played High School Football at (incert name here) and was an All American there and in College at(whatever college he went to). Man he's gonna be a great superstar because of his football agression he's had for so many years." Anyone get the point?
Guest Whatmaniac Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 If Lance Storm ever wants a huge push, all he needs to do is concoct some story about how he was a star wide reciever at his college. J.R. will be shilling him non-stop even from a different roster.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Anyone get the point? Unless the point is JR has a serious HOSS fetish and has been secretly following these HOSSES around since high school in the hopes of getting some HOSS ACTION....No.
Guest BobbyWhioux Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 You know, in many ways it was classless and tasteless, but this reminds me of one moment in the history of Ed Ferrara's "Oklahoma" character that was absolutely hilarious and good clean satirical fun. He was shilling for "The Wall" and talked about his football background. But, you see, the twist is, "The Wall" was paired with Berlyn, and so they were both German. Now, sure, Gridiron football is played in Europe, but not widely. A different sort of football is widely preferred over there. So it was really funny to hear "Oklahoma" feed this obvious and intended B.S. about "The Wall's got a great football background. Played Defensive Tackle at the University of Hamburg [or some other big German city, can't remember which one he used]." Well, I thought it was funny.
Guest M Nyland Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 that is the first time I have heard anyone say "Oklahoma" was funny in any way

Guest mach7 Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Ross used to do the same thing when he was doing PBP for WCW. Always with the football historical backgrounds on wrestlers. I remember someone once told him to shut up about it. It might have been Pauly (Heyman/Dangerously), but I can't remember.
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Anyone get the point? i got it. you are unfunny and kind of a jackass.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 "Lance Storm played football at Calgary-Alexander High School before becoming an All-Canadian at Alberta State and being drafted to play for the Ottawa Roughriders! OOOOHHHH YEEEEAHHHHHHH!"

Guest RetroRob215 Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 That JR site is great, better than the Cole one. Too bad it looks like no one updates it anymore.
Guest AM The Kid Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 "He (Scotty 2 Hotty) connected with his Worm. I can't believe I just said that." - RAW, April 17th, 2000 WHOOO!
Guest Nezbyte Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 That JR site is great, better than the Cole one. Too bad it looks like no one updates it anymore. Damn that shit's funny, gets old after a few min though.
Guest Redhawk Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 Playing wide receiver wouldn't do Lance Storm any good. In order to be a true HOSS, you have to play something tough like linebacker or defensive end.
Guest BobbyWhioux Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 Maybe Free Safety? It might qualify as hoss-like. I mean, after all, safties do get to hit people pretty hard even though they're not particularly big.
Guest Redhawk Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 I think string safety would work, but free safety might be a little un-hoss-like. Acceptable HOSS football positions: Fullback Offensive lineman Defensive lineman Linebacker Strong Safety Tight End Special Teams kamikaze guy Quarterback (only in an option offense) Any position at the University of Oklahoma
Guest BobbyWhioux Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 I think string safety would work, but free safety might be a little un-hoss-like. Yeah. "Strong Saftey" sounds tougher than "Free Safety" when said out loud. Even though both positions allow you ample chance to pound people. What exactly is the difference? I know this is kinda off topic here, but I've been watching football since I was a kid and I don't think I've ever quite had this explained to me. I think it's like this: Strong Safety: Primarily a run-stopper and "8th man in the box" on running downs, guy who comes up to stop the run. Unless it's like 3rd and forever and its totally obvious the offense is going to pass. Free Safety: Primarily floating back and giving help to the Cornerbacks on passing routes, and smacking and wideout fool enough to come over the middle and put his hands on the ball (like Jack Tatum WAY back in the day, Ronnie Lott back in the day). If anybody can confirm or deny this for me, I'd appreciate it. And as for "any position on U of Oklahoma" do you think that would extend even to placekickers? [Hey now, there's an idea; some dude who played college football but as a kicker, and he comes down to the ring and gets on JR's case about "why aren't you telling these people about how I'm a hoss? I played college football you know. I was placekicker." Okay, maybe only I would laugh, and probably only once.]
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 6, 2002 Report Posted July 6, 2002 "Any position at the University of Oklahoma " Even mascot
Guest Redhawk Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 Free safeties are supposed to be concerned with the pass first, run second, just like cornerbacks. Strong safeties are supposed to think run first, like a linebacker. They also are ideally bigger than free safeties because in man-to-man they often cover the tight end, wheras the free safety would play "center field" and play the QB's eyes. I think anyone who played football for Oklahoma would get HOSS status. But if they were a kicker, JR just wouldn't ever say what position they played.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted July 8, 2002 Report Posted July 8, 2002 Ahh...strong safeties...or safeties in general. Those guys are badasses. Serious. Ronnie Lott played with a thumb that at the time wasn't even a thumb anymore. Getting back on topic, John Lynch would be a good wrastlin' name. Also, maybe Misterio lied in his application. Maybe he said he was a free safety in his San Diego high school, even getting a full ride to San Diego State. *Misterio hits a Spingboard Hurricanrana to pick up the win* [J.R.] You know he used to do that back in his high school days as the free safety of The Fighting Tree Slugs of San Diego!
