Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 I read this off of a collumn from 411wrestling.com In Praise Of. "Something odd that I'm not sure anyone else has noticed, or cares, but my friend Jenny pointed it out. Chris Jericho has won every title in the WWF right now. Since they use the WCW cruiserweight title now and not the Light Heavyweight, I'll use it's lineage, so Jericho has won them all. Not sure if anyone else will ever do that. Or if it matters, but there it is for you." Kinda intresting. proves that he is a living legend.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 When was he Hardcore Champion? And I'll make the leap & say we're ignoring the Women's Title.
Guest TestKick Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Chris was Hardcore champ, I think he beat RVD and RVD won back right away. Chris was never US champ, or WCW tag champ, that's all he's really missing.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 He's won the hardcore title? If so, then yes, Jericho is the true Grandslam champion.
Guest Human Fly Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 He was harcore champ for about a minute or two on Raw a year or so back. Rhino gored him on the stage and won the belt. I believe Jericho won it from the Big Show. He's one of three grand slam winners in the WWE (HHH and HBK the others). I've never heard it mentioned once.
Guest wolverine Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 He won the hardcore title on May 28, 2001 in Calgary from Big Show, then he immediately lost it to Rhyno.
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Jericho won the Hardcore title from Rhyno or Big Show and he lost to the other one.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 There really is an anti-canadian conspiracy! Notice how HHH was brought up by a non-HHHater.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 He won the hardcore title on May 28, 2001 in Calgary from Big Show, then he immediately lost it to Rhyno. It was the night that Vince had both Benoit and Jericho go thorugh a hard match to earn a title shot....I think he gave the shot to benoit.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Yeah, Benoit vs. Rhyno, Big Show vs. Jericho. Benoit got the shor because Rhyno beat Jericho after Jericho beat Show
Guest TheSmarkzone Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 It's a mute point, because the Hardcore and Light Heavyweight titles are not required to be considered a "Grand Slam" winner.
Guest SuperTonyJaymz Posted July 3, 2002 Report Posted July 3, 2002 Thats why this is bigger than a Grand Slam Grand Slam-Euro, Tag Team, IC and World Triple Crown- IC Tag Team World Y2J Ultimate Crown: Every current male belt
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 It's a mute point, because the Hardcore and Light Heavyweight titles are not required to be considered a "Grand Slam" winner. But the European title is? If you're going to throw out one garbage title, might as well throw 'em ALL out...
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 It's a mute point, because the Hardcore and Light Heavyweight titles are not required to be considered a "Grand Slam" winner. that way HHH wouldnt have to be downgraded to get it or... because a grand slam means 4
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 But did he win the million dollar belt? I THINK NOT.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 did anyone besides virgil actually win that
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 It was because the Euro existed before the LHW and Hardcore titles, and they were already calling Shawn Michaels the only Grand Slam winner in WWF history by the time they were introduced. Besides the LHW shouldn't count anyways since it is restricted to a certain weight class.
Guest dreamer420 Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 There really is an anti-canadian conspiracy! Notice how HHH was brought up by a non-HHHater. someone would have brought it up anyway. bitching about hhh is a lot of peoples main reason for posting on this board I think.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 Thats why this is bigger than a Grand Slam Grand Slam-Euro, Tag Team, IC and World Triple Crown- IC Tag Team World Y2J Ultimate Crown: Every current male belt I just realized this.....Christian is ONE TITLE away from the Y2J Ultimate Crown. He has held EVERY WWE title except for world/undisputed. WHOOOOOOOO Go Christian.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 Kane just needs the Euro and he's won every title except the Women's and Cruiser, which he can't win anyways.
Guest papacita Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 I actually remember WWF.com calling Kane a Grand Slam winner after winning the Hardcore Title from @ WMX7. But then again, at Backlash 01, Ross claimed that HBK and HHH were the only Grand Slammers...so...
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 I think they meant because he had won four titles: World, IC, Tag, and Hardcore, whereas HBK and HHH's grand slams were: World, IC, Tag, and Euro.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 When the ass did Kane get the IC title?
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 He had it last year when he beat HHH, right before the quad injury.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted July 4, 2002 Report Posted July 4, 2002 He had it last year when he beat HHH, right before the quad injury. Yea I think he won it in the "chain match" with HHH at Judgment Day 2K1. But if you think Kane's a bad champion, remember that somewhere around that same time the title was held by Albert! ::shudders::
