Haunted, canceled already?

They use to air Haunted Tuesdays after Buffy, and since WWE did their Super Tuesday show it hasn't been on.

 

It's not on this week or next. It's being replaced by a couple of their godawful Monday comedies.

 

Too bad if it's getting axed, show had some real promise.

 

At least it lasted longer then "Girl's Club"...2 Episodes!

Oh yeah, it's done. IIRC, it didn't even hold onto half of Buffy's audience.

 

Next shows reportedly on the chopping block are Birds of Prey and Firefly. Both actually have decent ratings (for WB and FOX) but I'm thinking that the production costs are what's gonna sink the shows.

They may bring it back at some point because production is still continuing on the remaining episodes even though it's been yanked from the network for now. Tuesday nights probably wasn't the best time slot for this show. Buffy's audience ended up switching over to either Smallville, 24 or Frasier.

Never seen Birds of Prey...no WB.

 

Firefly was doomed from the start with a friday night prime slot...no one's at home watching tv Friday nights.

Well, Birds of Prey just got the hook, so after the 13 produced episodes are run, it's gone. Middling ratings + high production costs + up against Bachelor and West Wing = the kiss of death.

 

Firefly got greenlighted for 2 more episodes, so there's still a glimmer of hope there. But c'mon, this is a "space western" that's about one step better than Bravestarr, what did you expect?

Birds of Prey is so egregiously bad that I actively WANT it to be cancelled. They should pay for raping my beloved Batman franchise and using it to put on that worthless drivel.

 

I hope Firefly gets the axe too. John Doe at 9 p.m. is a much better show anyways.

 

If it's ANY space show that needs to be saved, it's Farscape!

The Batman live-action franchise was already DOA thanks to The Schumacher, so creating BoP really didn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, other than the fact that WB is incapable of making an action drama based on DC characters (see also: The Flash, although I also liked that show).
