Imagine the big ol' newsroom wall o' clocks: Los Angeles: 4 p.m. (Pacific) Denver: 5 p.m. (Mountain) Chicago: 6 p.m. (Central) New York City: 7 p.m. (Eastern) Halifax: 8 p.m. (Atlantic) St. John's: 8:30 p.m. (Newfie?) I remember someone saying that CBC announces things with some sort of tagline about another time for Newfoundland. I'd assume the Maritimes are in their own time zone, as Nova Scotia and PEI are pretty far from an Eastern Time state like Ohio. I'm sorry, but I demand answers. The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2004 I heard some joke about how a Newfie went into a bar and ordered a cow tongue and the waitress said "why do you want a cow tongue" and the Newfie said "because I didn't want to eat its balls."
