Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted October 20, 2002 The following is from the official mailing list of Bret Hart: It's been awhile. We've received a whole lot of e-mails asking how Bret is doing in his recovery from the major stroke he suffered on June 24, 2002. I'm happy to be able to tell you that Bret is doing great! He is still working hard in physical therapy five days per week but the exercises he does have progressed to ones that are more difficult and some of his therapy is now outside of the hospital. We'll soon be bringing you a statement directly from Bret, which we will post on Bret's new official web site brethart.com. The under construction page should be up within the next few days and within the next week or so we should be able to start posting updates directly from Bret. We are also trying to make merchandise available to you in time for your December holiday shopping. I'm not sure if that'll be possible but will iron all that out during this coming week. I couldn't make any of this happen any sooner because I was rushed into emergency surgery and am still recovering. I'll spare you the details. Meanwhile, Bret and I have continued to work on his book. This isn't written in stone but it now looks like his book will actually take the form of three volumes - in which case I am happy to report that the first one is done! In fact, we're about half way through the second one. Like I said, it all still might end up in one book - but if does that would be one heck of a big book! I'm not sure when Bret will start writing his Calgary Sun columns again and will talk with him about that today. When he does, you'll automatically start receiving them again. Have a good weekend. Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted October 20, 2002 IF it's true that Bret & Vince are talking again, maybe Vince will Fianlly let Bret have some of his Footage and pictures for the book? I doubt it, though.
Guest BAR Report post Posted October 20, 2002 Great, Bret's an all time favourite of mine. One of the greatest wrestlers ever, if not, the best.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted November 11, 2002 Hitman Prod [email protected] Bret Hart's Official e-mai list We just wanted to give you an update about Bret's new official web site, brethart.com. The site itself will appear gradually starting within the next 7 to 10 days. You'll be able to watch it being built as new things appear. We're hopeful that we'll have a merchandise link up on the under construction page sometime this coming week in time for holiday shopping. If that time frame turns out not to be possible we'll let you know. Check back at brethart.com for updates. There will be a new deluxe coffee table book out on Bret's career. It's being worked on now and it will contain a lot of surprises
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted November 11, 2002 Great, I've been waiting for an update for ages. Good news to hear. I'm really looking forward to the book as long as it's more of a mix of Pure Dynamite and It's True.
Guest Karnage Report post Posted November 11, 2002 If Vince gave Bret the archives, a Bret DVD would no longer be a dream and he could do audio commentary on some of the matches.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted November 12, 2002 Hopefully his book will be more than what he wrote for Stu's book. Someone was saying it was more "Promoters are evil, I got screwed" crap.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted November 14, 2002 i think he said in a shoot interview that he was trying to make it into a positive book. it'll be a very interesting read, and if bret was a decent writer it would've probably been the greatest wrestler biography ever (cause i think he's had the most storied career in the history of wrestling, by far). unfortunately, he isn't half the writer foley is. but i'll still read it. Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted November 20, 2002 Bret Hart's Email List sent out the following today: In response to popular demand, Bret Hart will soon be resuming writing his weekly column for the Calgary Sun newspaper! Bret took a break from his column after suffering a stroke on June 24, 2002. He has written one column since then, from his hospital room, that one to answer concerns about his recovery. Bret's weekly column is usually posted on the internet by The Calgary Sun and it is sent out to this mailing list. The column has a world wide readership and both at The Calgary Sun as well as here at Bret's office we have been receiving a constant stream of requests for the column to continue from fans in North America as well as from distant lands. Bret's columns should return towards the end of December. In addition to being printed and posted by The Calgary Sun Bret's columns will be available on Bret's NEW official web site at brethart.com. On Bret's web site we will post any illustrations or photos that accompany Bret's columns, which is something that has never been officially available on the internet before.
