All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
New unofficial rule: whenever somebody mentions a person that they are surprised hasn't been selected yet, they have to let the cat out of the bag once the person has been drafted. Right now, I have a few guys lined up who I hope are left, but won't be surprised if they are taken before my opportunity comes. I will name them if and when they are chosen. With 600 wrestlers left, the most shocking thing will still be who doesn't get chosen. You'll be surprised how many good talents will be left out. Then again, if need be, there's always extensions. Also, useless commentary is not useless. We can talk about what is going on as much as we want, so long as we do not drop names who have not been selected yet. -

I was pretty nervous that I would have barely missed him, not only from a personal standpoint (as I am a huge Awesome mark), but I think that he would have as good of a match with John Cena as anybody. Awesome and the Eliminators are the most critical picks I have made thus far, and I am relieved that I got them both. -

My next selection will be the man to challenge John Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship. His style will compliment the main event scene very well and will bring a sense of competitiveness to the World Heavyweight Championship. A star who made his mark on the industry working for FMW, ECW, WCW and WWF. My fourth-round draft selection is: Mike Awesome -
That makes sense. I forgot that it was taped a week in advance (a week after the Rumble).

They were absolutely planning on having Luger vs. Yoko and Hart vs. Hart. I don't remember if they showed the coin up close or not, but if they did, my guess is that it was double-sided.

I can see every selection that you have made so far main eventing. -

You are aware that you can leave your selections with me if you think that there's a chance that you are going to miss your opportunity, right? -

That's another guy that some will joke about, who definitely will be drafted. -
That was my co-MOTY for 2006.

Selecting on behalf of Crandamaniac. With his initial appearances in WCW during its last days, he became one of the most talked about high-fliers in the North American wrestling landscape. His affiliation with ROH gave him the opportunity to showcase his all-around wrestling ability. Many would say that, of all of their homegrown talent, he is the franchise player in Total Nonstop Action. The 77th selection... The former NWA Heavyweight... X-Divison... NWA World Tag Team... ROH World Tag Team... ROH Pure Champion... The Phenomenal... A.J. Styles! -

I think that a Strike Force-Skyscrapers series would be great. I'm also jealous that you picked the team with the best entrance song ever. -
Thank you.

Mike Awesome vs. Masato Tanaka ECW One Night Stand New York City, NY June 12, 2005 The inaugural One Night Stand show was one of the most unforgettable productions that WWE has ever put on. While the show itself was very good and very reminiscent of what made ECW great, one match in particular stands out on its own in terms of making the viewer forget that they were even watching a "reunion show." While Tanaka and Awesome tore down the house, it felt just like old times. Like it was 1999 and these guys were fighting over the ECW Championship. With one match, Mike Awesome managed to win back the hearts of ECW loyalists (after a very sour departure from the company some five years earlier), in what most consider the in-ring highlight of the best show of the year.

I am sure that there are a number of talents that at least one member would have figured would have been selected by now. At this point, it's all about who works best for the company that you are building, so it's not so surprising to me. Anything after Hogan/Flair/Hart/Rock/Austin is no genuine surprise to me. -

After nine hours of interstate driving and eighty-five bucks in fuel, I have returned. Feel free to send me your top three (or more) selections if you are not going to be around to make your selection. -
Fuck my cock. Bret/Austin was my first choice.

Just a heads up to everybody. I am going to be out of town until tomorrow evening. I am not entirely sure if I am going to be anywhere near a computer, so, for the time being, 909 is going to be in charge of things. So, instead of sending me a PM if I am next in line, send it to him, please. -
While it cannot be proven, I think that you would be pretty gullible to think otherwise. I mean, the timing sure is suspect. And why was Linda still wearing her wedding ring at Nick's sentencing a couple of weeks ago?

I've seen that Eaton/Flair match dozens of times, and he does not adorn the Television Championship. Austin squashes Joey Maggs earlier in the show, and he is announced as the TV Champ. I'll defer to you on whether or not Eaton wore the belt, but I am pretty certain that Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone pointed out more than once that only Flair's world title was on the line and Eaton's TV title was not. And I don't think Austin wore the belt for his match. His title win (per Graham Cawthon's site) didn't air until June 29, so Eaton would have still been the champion on TV. You're right. In the Austin coming attraction video package he is wearing the belt, but not for his Clash match. That's why I am confused. And, for some strange reason, Eaton is still not announced as the champion (and is not listed as the current belt holder in the "Knoxville Notes" stat card).

That's a great choice.

He's lucky enough to not have been cut.

I would not consider either of those to be bad. Also, for historical purposes, the first two Royal Rumble and first four Survivor Series pay-per-views did not feature title matches. -

I was hoping to acquire Mr. August somewhere down the line.
