Bad ideas for a wrestling fed
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! replied to Twisted Intestine's topic in General Wrestling
How about a comedy-troupe type deal with the same five guys playing numerous roles (including drag roles for the women's division)? Those Royal Rumbles would be interesting. -
I'm sure that it's quite a stretch for him.

Finlay is looking quite... metrosexual tonight.

Adonis bumped his ass off in that match. I'd rate it at least ** 3/4 minimum. -

This occurred before professional wrestling was deregulated in the state of Illinois, and referees sanctioned by the state (who had to don their standard uniform) were, by law, required to officiate X amount of matches per card. This went on well into the nineties, as I remember seeing these guys pop up at house shows as well, with pretty much all of them looking like they were lost out there. Just popped my old VHS master in. I think that if you put it under one roof then the card would have been even more forgettable. At least this card is unique. Instead of being the card between WrestleMania and WrestleMania III, it actually stands out. I kinda like the chaos, myself, though some of these matches are quite puzzling (Jake the Snake vs. George Wells? Was Johnny Rodz injured or something?). I'll post more when I see more. So far, the production is kinda sucky, even for 1986. -
I got your solution for tooth decay right here, bitch... NO, SRSLY...

God damn. I just discovered an Indian restaurant about 45 minutes from where I live. It's the closest one, but it's worth the drive. God damn do I love Indian cuisine. God damn. God Damn.

Bull Buchanan has found work in All Japan and also does guest columns for World Wrestling Insanity. In fact, I just got a myspace bulletin today from WWI pushing an audio interview with Buchanan that they just put up on their paysite.

I pretty much agree with the consensus here. The only people who benefited from the group was Stevie, Buchanan and Ivory. It was just one of those things where I was like "Okay, I get it already... It's your way of saying 'fuck you' to the PTC and we have to put up with it... blabety blah..." Though going back, a lot of it was pretty good stuff. Bull Buchanan really found a niche here, too. And Ivory stood out here as a more militant version of what they would do with Molly later on down the line, so she stood out among the female performers.

I long for the legitimization of the hypocritical oath.

If he goes, then who is going to front the Stop Snitchin Movement? -
Yes. The guy in the middle is Richard Marx. The guy on the left is Pettengill's partner (radio, not sexual).

And it rocked, IIRC. -
I'll probably rent it maybe.

I don't know. Didn't Dreamer get in trouble for letting CM Punk work an RoH show whilst Punk was in OVW? I thought that WWE gave Punk their blessing, so long that ROH didn't promote him ahead of time or advertise him on the DVD. -
KoRn. Back in the nineties. I saw their performance on SNL not long ago, and they somehow managed to suck even lots more balls than before.

Didn't they use him in an angle to phase out his character? I distinctly remember towards the very end of his run (Summer of '95ish), there was an article in WWF Magazine where they accused him of taking bribes from Ted DiBiase and they had photographical evidance. I don't know if they even mentioned this on TV but I was outraged reading it as a mark. Jesus, I forgot all about that! I don't think that they went anywhere with it though, and I am pretty sure that it was earlier in the year, as my subscription ran out in spring of '95.

Majoring in English Lit. People always ask me if I want to teach. The answer is no. How I obtained two jobs: Job #1: Right place, right time. Job #2: I volunteered until I was offered a position. -

It is strange, because whenever people bring up professional sports in general, they are usually wanting to discuss team efforts, i.e. baseball, football, basketball and the like. The "popular" ones. The only legit sport that I really watch is MMA, and not very often. There was once a time when I was into mainstream sporting. I loved the NBA back in the nineties. Those were great times, and being that I am from Chicago, why wouldn't they be? Nowadays I'm just not as interested in the athletes and personalities as I used to be. Same goes for hockey as well. Never cared much for baseball or football, to be honest, but I kept up because I was around a lot of people who were into it, and it helped pass the time. Most of my interest in pro sports waned during high school when I got a job, started socializing, discovered girls and booze and began to develop passions in other areas. But I'll tell you, I was a wrestling fan before all of that went down, and I'm still a wrestling fan today. Weird. -
I don't know, but I sure love the file name... Hammerhead... ha!
