I would have much, much rather seen that angle in the WWF. It was build around their "history" of which they avoided to go into detail because it all revolved around their time together in a rival company. And Ed Leslie had no business appearing on a Starrcade card, much less the main event.

I also like how the commentators abandoned their duties. I think that Jeff should, if nothing else, be Mick Foley circa 1999. Even in brevity, that shit worked. The wrestling fans were hot for it. I think that Jeff is the new Mick Foley (even if not nearly as good as a promo as Mick is). He is the undercard guy that everybody is very much behind.

Do you have any examples? For the life of me, I can't remember him doing this. Maybe with Kane? And I'm really starting to think Senshi quitting TNA is a work. Dixie Carter offered any wrestler who wanted out of their contract that option. While Senshi is not under contract, he is still performing on a per-appearance basis.
