Once Great Cable Channels That Have Gone Downhill
PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! replied to TMC1982's topic in Television & Film
Well, I meant in terms of original programming. Technically speaking, MTV introduced me to The Young Ones, but it wasn't an MTV program. -

Aside from Rap City, what on earth did BET ever have going for itself? And don't say Comicview or I'll kick you in the nuts. -

They need to dub over everyone's music with that.

Fuck me. I really shouldn't have, since I had the theme song stuck in my head the other day. -

There was once a time when MTV had awesome non-video programming, including, but not limited to: Remote Control (it jumped the shark when it went Network) The Real World (the first three seasons) The Jon Stewart Show The State (one of the best things MTV has given us) Beavis and BUTT-Head (though it did get old after a couple of years) Liquid Television MTV Oddities Singled Out Undressed (sort of a guilty pleasure of mine) This, of course, does not include dozens of programs and specials that I could not even begin to remember. -
That really wasn't a conscious effort on my part, but, heh...

You're right. -
I've always wanted to see them, and figured that I would always get the chance, since they seemed like one of those bands that would always be around.

Hah! I always cringed during that entrance, for fear that somebody would lose their footing or their grip and Mable would topple onto one of the poor slave boys.

Steel Reserve? Good thing that you don't have to wake up until Thursday. -

I used to think little of Glasscock, but I change my mind. When the Sperm shows up to the live chat, the party really starts. -

If they don't have Jake the Snake and Undertaker ruining Elizabeth and Randy's wedding afterparty at Summerslam 1991, I'll cry! They recently re-aired pretty much every part of the post-SummerSlam Savage/Snake saga on 24/7, and it was still causing people I know to mark out. At least one Flair match has gotta be guaranteed, so hopefully its WM 8, plus a lot of Hogan/Megapowers stuff. I'd also hope to finally see the Bret/Savage SNME match, unless its supposed to be on the SNME set. Speaking of the Megapowers, f they don't put the Tower of Doom Steel Cage matchI'll cry. They were known as the Monster Maniacs in WCW. You have to call them that. Damn you. They'll always be the Mega Powers in my heart, brother. Were the Mega Maniacs Hogan and Beefcake? Yes. And for those keeping score, Savage and The Warrior were the Macho Maniacs. -
I'm pretty certain Trump wanted it there the next year after IV, and that's why they went back. As for worst spot, I'd say Hartford by a landslide. At least Las Vegas, Chicago, New York (Even if it was Long Island), and Los Angeles were major markets. The outdoor Caesar's Palace venue was really cool. Hartford is easily the worst place they've ever chosen to run their flagship PPV.

Your landlord needs to hire somebody else. There's no excuse for any of that.
