Can't remember how many movies I saw last year (that were released last year, of course). Not many. Wish I had that kind of time and money and the will to be around the public when I'm trying to escape reality. The Dark Knight I won't elaborate. The Wrestler Great in and of itself, but especially enjoyable for me based on reasons you should already know. Iron Man Couldn't tell you the last year that two tremendous superhero movies came out. The Hammer Did anybody else see this? They should. Cloverfield In the minority in that I really liked it. And I usually hate this kind of stuff. Forgetting Sarah Marshall Laughed my ass off. Pineapple Express Great action/thriller spoof. Burn After Reading Better than I expected. Though I expected it to be a letdown. Catch 22. Tropic Thunder Didn't realize that it was Tom Cruise until the end. Yep, I'm that guy. Indiana Jones 4 Liked that it had Karen Allen. That's about it.

I don't remember the workrate being wretched or anything, as I, memory aside, figure that Prichard and Candido would do just fine with the leadable Godwinns, but I might have a selective memory. Still, how can you dislike a championship program built around assflashing and pig slop?

I think that Orton will become a fantastic anti-hero in the near future. I can feel it. Never a true white-bread babyface (do those even exist anymore, outside of Rey Misterio?) or anything like that, but I've noticed that a lot of fans are being drawn to him. WWE will make efforts to maintain his position as a sick heel, but some people show up to their shows to boo guys like Cena and cheer guys like Orton. As an aside, I am glad that 2008 was good to RKO, injury notwithstanding. He finally became a made man last year, just like Edge became a made man in 2006.

After a manic, alcohol-free New Year's Eve I where a lot of shit went down I decided that I was going to quit drinking for a while and improve my living situation. Then the next day I said 'fuck it' and got shitfaced.

The RAW in REVIEW episode featured a painfully sad video tribute to Hennig, Elizabeth, Blassie, Stu Hart, Hawk and Crash. Also, didn't somebody else besides Crash die at Richards' house?

Without the entire 2004 catalogue in front of me I've only got one example, but watch Survivor Series 04 and tell me he wasn't over with that crowd. I would attribute some of his face heat to his very good sub-feud with Ric Flair, of which he was just coming off. Hunter was particularly hated during this period as well. It would be a little over a year later when cheering HHH would become cool again. To get additional perspective on the poorly-booked face run, I would suggest James Guttman's World Wrestling Insanity. A good read overall, but the chapter devoted to the failed HHH programs from 2002-2005 really made the book for me. Particularly the Orton portion of said chapter.

Aw man, yeah. It took Orton the better part of three years to shake the stigma that hampered him from this run. I mean, quite literally, I cannot think of a time (Rated RKO run aside) where I felt like he would recover from this nonsense until he started punting folk in the head. Such a poorly executed turn, too. I don't want to scream conspiracy, but man, this is just another feud where somebody came out looking incredibly weak against HHH under the most annoying of circumstances. Holy shit, I've been waiting years to see this. To the top of my Netflix queue it goes. EDIT: Damn, it's a long wait too. They screened it on campus, it was in-fucking-sane. Given the Flaming Lips, I expected weird, but there were times it was almost Eraserhead weird. It took a few weeks, but its finally coming in the mail tomorrow. Been dying to see this forever.
