I don't believe you. Your name says you're from British Columbia while this took place in Florida. I'd like pictures from the event and a program information or something before I believe who it is.
-
Look, I just want to find out who this was!! I don't really give a damn the name was used once I just want to make sure it's not used on a regular basis because it's my fucking name all right??? I'm not going to try to take action against the guy because I have no legal grounds to do so. I am just going to ask him not to use this on a regular basis and if anyone asks he is not the real Kawalimus, he will have to tell people that he got the name from someone on a message board. That name has personal meaning to me, it is based on a mentally retarded garbage man I worked with before he could no longer go to work because of age/sickness. There is no other place that could have come from except for me, and someone taking the name. So don't get upset just because I want to find out who it was please.
-
Yeah I thought of that too some people did that, and in a way I am honored the guy used the name. Again, I'd just like to find out who it was
-
Yeah but this name has been used by me for a long time. I appreciate him liking the name, but apparently Phantom Lord is also a poster over on DVDVR and I used to post there too. The name has personal origins, very obscure, and there's no other place the name would have come from. It's not Japanese or anything. I'm not really angry with the guy, I just don't like him using that without my permission. I know I don't have rights to it or anything, but it would just be polite if the guy wouldn't take what I think is a pretty damn good name and use it as his own.

I want see the Patriots win. I like the Patriots because I want to see history and #2 they prevented the Old Baltimore Colts Franchise from being the team of the decade. If not for New England Indianapolis would had 4 or 5 Superbowls right now.

It doesn't spit in the face of the Rumble. Cena won a title shot and he's getting it. Nobody's gonna care in the end, the Rumble wouldn't lose any of its luster. What does spit in the face of things like the Rumble and MITB, though, is anytime a title shot is put on the line. Nobody should lose a title shot due to anythign except extreme circumstances, and it should never be lost in a match if those happen. The only thing the current idea spits in the face in is the idea that the Rumble winner has to go to Wrestlemania with the shot, and that's what it builds to. Which is why I suggested if they want to keep this idea in tact they should shorten the amount of time between the two. There are plenty of hours of TV between the time NWO is and Mania to build a title match. The way they're doing it this year is much better than dragging it out week after week. Doing that is what creates a situation many complain about these days, which is that Raw is repetitive. That's why WWE needs more stars and a bigger pool of people to choose from when building feuds. There are so many top cards to fill that you can't just have the same things over and over again which is the problem we see at Wrestlemanias. They will only put certain guys in the top match at those. So you need a large pool of stars to choose from which is what WWE doesn't seem to realize. That's what the brand split is supposed to do, allow the people who would normally be in the midcard on one show to have a shot at the top. And it's a damn shame it took that long for a guy like Jeff Hardy to get that chance, and only for them to piss that away once their chosen one came back from injury. Not that I have a problem with Cena mind you. But they are putting all their eggs in one basket with this guy right now. Cause one day Undertaker, Michaels, HHH, and Batista are gonna be gone. ANd then who are you gonna have? So you can't just keep dragging these same feuds between the same guys out longer and longer because eventually what you're going to have is a fanbase demanding change, but no one in line to do so.

SEE that's what I don't like. ESPN should be promoting sports. I remember before Carolina vs New England in their Superbowl ESPN was talking about how no one would want to watch because of the teams involved. This was before New England was the team of the decade or anything. They ripped on the game all week everyone said it would suck. THey laughed at the lack of star power. Basically they shit all over the game before it even happened! Just like they shit all over hockey whenever they get the opportunity. And then look that Superbowl became one the best ones. ESPN is obsessed with tradition and less focused on promoting the sports now. If it's not a team in a big market(for that sport) they don't give a shit. To hell with the fact that every franchise started somewhere. If it's not a moneymaker they won't talk about it.
-
What I would do is switch NWO from the February PPV to the January PPV now that New Year's Revolution is gone and move The Royal Rumble up to where NWO used to be. That gives you ample time to build to Wrestlemania from the Rumble, not too long and not too short. As of right now there is way too much time between the Rumble and WM to build with all the TV time and another PPV. So that's why you switch them. What they're doing now is the right idea, they aren't trying to drag a feud with a predictable outcome out for months(Cena vs Orton). They're getting it over with right now.

Billick had no offensive system. If Harbaugh or Cameron can run an offense that actually knows what its doing, and functions as a unit, that would be an improvement over what Billick brought to the table. If Billick had any system it was ""rest the players, make sure no one gets hurt in practice. Then go into the games unprepared and hope we get enough turnovers so we can get a touchdown, or two if we're lucky." Marvin how can you say Harbaugh won't do anything? This AFC north division is unpredictable, you never know what's gonna happen the next year in this thing. Only that the 3rd place team always end up winning the division the next year so the Bengals will win it next year . People keep saying this garbage about how "NO ONE WANTS THOSE BALTIMORE OR ATLANTA JOBS" but why? I know why someone might be uncomfortable coming into Baltimore with these egos but why not take a Baltimore job? Cause it's not NY or Dallas? When Bill Belichick took over the NE job it wasn't the best job in the world nether. That team was a loser franchise in a town that preferred another sport. But he came in did what he had to do and now he's a legend. So why not come into Baltimore and do the same thing with this squad? There's no reason just the media doesn't wanna focus on a place like Baltimore they would rather talk about NY or Dallas or another huge market.

I paid FORTY DOLLARS for those goddamn things!! And he just chews right through em ANd now I gotta buy ANOTHER PAIR. THIS PISSES ME OFF!! Sorry I just have to rant here. I love my cats but sometimes they just do things that makes me wish they were dead!! LIke this!!
-
You folks gotta realize, that even though Ray Lewis is past his prime, he's still really damn good. People say that like he's not good or something. Did you see that guy play last year? First game he fucked up his tricep but had a great game. Played real well all year. Also one of the best on-field leaders in the game. Well we won't get Garrett, but I am not worried about coaching situation now. Just get somebody in there can do the job and we'll see where we go. Ravens will go where they go and I will be cheering for em like mad no matter what!! Just don't be like the Orioles!

Folks I have another problem there's a CENTIPEDE right near me
Kawalimus posted a topic in General Chat
Alright folks I would just like to ask, what can be done about these things? I hate these goddamn things. Especially when they run away. I have my cat here to help, but I don't know how long she will be around. So what can I do about them? Can I get rid of them somehow or do I just have to deal with em? -
I didn't say Garrett would be the savior. But you have to build and he is a great place to start. I said my team was in serious trouble last year on another board after we didn't get a QB in the draft and everyone laughed at me. I wanted us to get Quinn and everyone said we had plenty QBs in Baltimore but I told em we were screwed and that Billick would lead us to a bad season and should be FIRED if he didn't make the playoffs. Now who was right? I don't think the ravens are in trouble just like other teams aren't in trouble. Hell this is the NFL things can do a 180 real quick. The "Ravens are old" crap is cliche from guys who don't do their homework and just like to say what others have said. There are plenty young players on this team ready to go if certain guys leave. Mark Clayton, Haloti Ngata, Ed Reed, Dawan Landry, Demetrius Williams, Willis McGahee, a solid group of young guys to work around. Now we need a quarterback, some better offensive linemen, and a coach who can put it all together. Remember back in 2002 people said the Ravens would be done for years but we got right back into it. Never say Never in this league.
-
Sign Garrett NOW! Unlike BILLICK Garrett is a football guy not a glorified psychologist. We need bring him in and get a real football program started here instead of the hackjob BILLICK put together. If Garrett don't sign here we're in serious trouble but I can see why he wouldn't. Look at the QBs he's gonna have to work with and the offensive line. I bet he won't come here because of those problems and the locker room being hard to manage with the egos team has built over the years.

I am sorry, I'm not trying to be obnoxious. I don't even hate ESPN nether. I just like to complain about things that I don't like. I like the format of Around the Horn I just don't like what it's become since Reali took over. I was just starting to get into the show when all of a sudden Max Kellerman stopped showing up for work mysteriosly, then they took his face off the gold medal award. That's when I knew he was gone for good and this idiot replacement was going to be there for good. I gave him a chance, I wanted him to mature into the role but he just could not do it. And now I am frustrated with ESPN for not replacing him with someone better or maybe Kellerman again so the show can reach its full potential. Another thing I wish ESPN would do is in the evening hours, replay ATH and PTI. Like inbetween late night sportscenters. I just enjoy criticizing and complaining sometimes. It's all in good fun .

Questions to be answered by the next person to post in the thread
Kawalimus replied to a topic in Sports
It can get to that point, but for hockey to get there it has to do certain things to regain its momentum that it threw away. They need to get rid of teams. Case in point, some things are just not meant to be mass-marketed, and hockey is one of em. That is just not something people all over are gonna interested in. So they have to get rid of the teams concentrated in areas where hockey just isn't that big. I'm not saying get rid of all southern and mid-western teams, but a bunch of em have to go. Another thing has to be done, get rid of east/west conference setup. That's BORING!!! NObody cares about that. Bring back the Campbell and Wales conferences. And also rename the divisions to the names. What are you gonna do next, call the Stanley Cup the "NHL Championship Trophy"? That lacks flavor. Now also, shorten the season. And NO POINTS for just getting to overtime. Introducing shootouts was a good idea. Now with less teams in the league they can gain momentum and all games played in places that matter to the fans like the NE and Canada. I put an emphasis on FLORIDA teams and this goes for all pro sports. What is the obsession with trying to jam as many professsional franchises down in Florida? It's NEVER GONNA WORK!!! Put em in places where the fans are gonna care. That is what hockey needs to do to regain popularity. Now for my question: With the NFL's season setup being perfect, will there ever be another expansion team in the NFL? Will a team ever be contracted? Will a team ever move to a different city again? Basically what do you think is the future for the NFL in terms of number of teams, division setups, and locatons? -
And here goes Reali again. He's trying to be more of a badass and slap around the journalists like I suggested. But alll he can do is say the same thing over and over again and mute em for it. He said "well you've all criticized Norv Turner all year so I should mute you". And he did that about three times. Why doesn't he do his job and find more things to critcize them for?

My Cat just chewed through my headphones wire
Kawalimus replied to Kawalimus's topic in General Chat
Next headphones I get I'm gonna coat it in some kind of spicy oil. That way when he plays with it he'll get burnt. I kicked him but I didn't kick him to hurt him. I kicked him to communicate a message to him. Like when my other cat hits him in the face when he annoys her. She doesn't want to rip his eyes out but she is telling him NO!!! I'd would just tell him no too, but he can't understand when I talk. So I had to show I am upset with him. I would never hurt him or my other cat. And in case you wanted to know, he does claw me in my sleep sometimes , but not out of anger he is just playing. I don't kick him for that though only if he breaks something expensive. -
My Cat just chewed through my headphones wire
Kawalimus replied to Kawalimus's topic in General Chat
Yep that's what happened I was using them when he did it! It wouldn't mattered if I put it away or not. But now I gotta put another 50 dollars in the drain. Don't worry though I didn't let it go unpunished. I had em seeing if I could salvage em and he came over to sniff it so I kicked him right in the face. -
I don't mean Chavo Guerrero wins the rumble anyway. He's too low in the midcard for that to work. I mean a guy like MVP or Jericho win the Rumble. Do that one year have it out of nowhere. You could argue Mysterio win was like that but that was built up too much before.

I've been meaning to do that for a while, so I am not worried about if people like it or not. It's ok if you don't want to read it .

Ok here is what I am going to do. I will watch this next ATH show and I will give you specific examples of what I'm talking about. What you first need remember is that when Kellerman was the host there was actually a system for distributing the points, which they actually stuck to. They would go over this at the beginning of each show, which they don't do anymore cause Reali simply cannot do the damn job. The system was 2 points for a good argument, 3 points for a very well stated argument. The difference between the two is that Kellerman could understand what a good argument was and Reali all he hears is the statement. Remember there were NO POINTS given for a simple statement on a Kellerman show. But plenty of statements get points on a Reali run ATH, and sometimes he'll throw out 4 points for no reason at all. Kellerman stuck to the system and it was actually fun to watch cause those journalists would have to give an argument in order get points. Funny enough to start Woody Paige says "you score the show? I didn't know that", a shot at Reali's terrible use of the system. First topic is the Colts. Question is "Is it possible the colts flying under the radar"? Blackistone gets 4 points for saying "There's no bulls eye on them". Has 6 points for no reason now. Then actually says something good and Reali gives another point for no reason. Mariotti making arguments not getting any points. Then says the question is "is it good for Indy" BUT THAT WASNT THE QUESTION!!! He changed the question. The question was is it possible they are. Paige regurgitates other arguments, Reali actually makes a good mute when Paige going off topic. Reali handles Paige well in this instance. Reali asks nonsense questions himself to Mariotti that had no relevance to topic. Next topic is Brady. Is he best season ever? Paige says OJ Simpson, again Reali handles it fairly well. Cowlishaw makes excellent argument didn't catch the whole thing. This is kind of a busted segment, very subjective, so I will omit the rest. Next topics coming up are Clemens, Pat Riley, and Yao Ming. I will see if any of them are worth covering not like this one and show further why Reali is not fit to host a show. Clemens is this topic. Buy or sell. "Is this a bad thing for clemens having delay hearing". Paige says it's bad thing. Reali handles Paige well once again and mutes him for nonsense. Cowlishaw says not bad. Makes a bland argument but somehow gets 3 points. Mariotti says it's bad cause they are compiling evidence. Doesn't get any points rightfully so. Blackistone says the same thing gets points for nothing. Woody Paige with more nonsense gets muted again. Reali does handle Paige well in this show. Pat Riley next. Will he quit buy or sell? I do not know much about NBA so I will omit the next two segments about Pat Riley and Yao Ming. But of note in Yao Ming discussion Cowlishaw given many points for no real reason. Mariotti gone. But Why? Paige made most nonsense. Next topic about Tiger Woods comment from broadcaster. What's your take? Blackistone says got what she deserves, says words are important have meaning. Cowlishaw says she is good reporter gets 3 points hesitantly. Paige says things happen on live TV, gets two points. There was no reason for any those scores he just handed em out. Paige eliminated. Showdown next. Cowlishaw vs Blackistone in showdown. Romo story up Cowlishaw says not important, people need get over it. Blackistone gives nonsense argument, Cowlishaw rightfully gets point. 7'7 basketball player George from UNC ashville the subject. Pro potential? Both of em trash George but Cowlishaw gets point. Blackiston'es was funnier but Cowlishaw got point. Cowlishaw sweeps. Talks about Detroit Red Wings gets laughed at. Good for him talking about sports promoting hockey. ALl in all, not Reali's worst show but his negatives definitely shine through. Many of his point distributions are simply peppered through a guys' talking and not actually given for an argument. So often a guy is given the correct amount points, but for the wrong reason. While in Kellerman's show you'd see the points confidently distributed and made sense. I believe Reali was kept on the show because he was popular as Stat Boy on PTI. But the reason he was funny on that show was because he was somewhat of an enigma. His only task was to correct the two guys giving opinions. And it was funny see him host ATH as a sub now and then. BUT ONLY NOW AND THEN!! He worked as an enigmatic character suited for sitting in hte back correcting others. He is a statistician in character. So if Kellerman is back on ESPN they should consult him about returning to ATH where he can once again make it a credible show.
-
Well if it's fixed then they only started fixing it because Reali couldn't manage the show worth a damn. It definitely wasn't fixed when Kellerman was in there because he was nasty with the participants and made sure they were embarrassed for making a dumb statement. You had to have Kellerman as the star because if you let the 4 journalists take over then it's just PTI with four guys. The host has to be the dominant figure in that show otherwise why not just have PTI run a full hour? Of course sometimes they determine who the winner is gonna be beforehand. They know when Woody is approaching 200 and when Jay Mariotti gonna get 50 points. They just knew somebody was gonna get to 200 that day so they set it up to mess with one of em. You're have to show me more proof than just one show that it's fixed. Of course they are going to set up special occasions. And I like Tim Cowlishaw he is a good participant.
-
It doesn't have to be fair 100% of the time. But they should at least try make it fair, that way the best information and opinion given gets his face time and the ones undeserving don't. Right now it's whoever acts craziest gets on there or whoever makes the most "shocking" statement gets on there. So they need get somebody knows his shit hosting that show like Max Kellerman and who has more of an authoritarian personality. Reali is just easy-going and doesn't slap those guys around like he should. Another thing about ATH I don't like is it's not different enough from PTI. It's just PTI with 4 guys. What they should do with ATH is bring in more guys from more areas, like what about Mike Preston from the Baltimore SUn on there now and then? Or from other newspapers around the country. Bring in new fresh faces so I don't have to see the same old people over and over again. Those people can still be on there and when they're on there they're fresh. And not only that, you can have different guys talk about a topic if they have their own information to present. Also they need to CANCEL that Jim Rome is Burning show. He don't offer any opinions other than scream and yell about em just like they do on ATH. ATH can't get it right 100% of the time but they can have a guy who knows how to manage a situation better than what they have.
-
Well if Max Kellerman were still there you better believe Plashcke would never win. Kellerman never let the inmates run the asylum on that show. He'd scream at em and tell em how dumb they were and he actually knew what he was talking about. Plaschke would leave in the first round every day under Kellerman. But Reali don't know anything he's just a STAT BOY!! He was only supposed to be a substitute but for some reason they put him in there long term and he has no charisma whatsoever!! So that's why you replace him back with Kellerman who was more like a taskmaster. Look at it now you have them all just acting crazy instead giving opinions with real backup. Kellerman would MUTE someone didn't give backup or said something dumb. Reali just mutes on principle cause he don't really know what he's saying. Around the Horn is a show for journalists not statisticians.
