If Max Kellerman is back on ESPN they need put him back on ATH. Cause that Reali guy don't know what he's doing. He just gives points for people making statements not the backup. Then somebody wins who shouldn't have and the guy who gave actual backup gets eliminated.

Nope I'm not high. Well that wouldn't be a very good idea with a 'super champion' like Cena was in his last run. But a more vulnerable Cena or another champion could enter Rumble at 30 and get a huge reaction from the crowd and then win it and the announcers wouldn't know what was going on. Now many are gonna say "that's a russo idea". Now that may be if you're doing stuff like that all the time. But if you show some reserve and restraint when doing those sorts things and don't do those all the time you won't run into any trouble. That's Russo's problem in that he does crazy stuff like that all the time. If you only do it a few times a year it's a good thing do for a wrestling product. Then you have that guy fight for the undisputed title at Wrestlemania. They only used have one big title match at that show why not anymore?
-
Another thing should be done one year is this. Have a slot where there is a mystery entrant into the Rumble. Then when he comes out it turns out being the current WWE champion whoever it may be. And this guy come in and wins the Rumble.
-
That's a good reason WWE should have one these midcard acts win the rumble one year. And don't have it be a fluke nether like when Maven got rid of Undertaker. Have him just be the best man out there that day. But the problem with that is the winner of the Rumble has to be a headliner in the biggest show of the year. That's how WWE painted themselves into a corner with this event. And you can't just have the guy lose the title shot at NWO why? Cause then it diminishes the significance of the Rumble. But you have a midcarder win Royal Rumble one year, what that does is help you in the long term. That creates a certain doubt in viewers minds which increases the satisfaction watching a show. The Royal Rumble should play up the chaotic theme and have guys who "shouldn't" eliminate someone do so. Just for one night have the competition seem even, create a real atmosphere seemingly where anyone can win. You can't do this if you do things by the books. Which means having guys who aren't able to eliminate another because they're higher on the card. You gotta keep it where anything goes but for one night only!

Ravens would be a tough job to take cause of the egos on this team. That's one thing that Billick was actually good for in that he knew how to handle that stuff. Just that when it came to actual football he was worthless. Not many guys want to take on the challenge of a team with Lewis, McGahee, Reed, McAlister Suggs, Scott, all those egos. Marvin Lewis has proven on Cincinnati he can't handle those egos which means would be a terrible fit for this team. We are a team where the inmates run the asylum, this is brought about by the way Billick ran the team for the last 9 years. Nobody wants to come in and tell guys like that they have a new master to worship. Perhaps they're thinking to bring in Marvin Lewis due to him being a part of the team in the past maybe the players will respect him more than just some other coach.

This is why they need to cut the Rumble PPV down on time make it two hours long. But they can keep the price the same cause it's the Royal Rumble. It would still be a major PPV just not as long. Remember the 1992 Rumble? That one was great cause it had all the top stars in it. THere were a ton of guys could win that one. Imagine if the RUmble this year had all the stars in it and not wrapped up in their own feuds. Save those feuds for other PPV. The rumble PPV should have all emphasis on the Rumble not on secondary matches.

I am watching baseball playoffs and I keep seeing these terrible ads for the new show FRANK TV starring some impersonation comedian Frank Caliendo. What is this show anyway? What the hell is it supposed to be just a guy doing impersonations for 30 minutes? I looked for it on wikipedia or IMDB found nothing. But TBS really wants me to watch it. Personally to me it looks not funny at all. And the guy isn't even that good at his impersonations. Only a couple even sound right. The rest of em just seem like that other annoying joker something ANdy Milonakis would done. Can someone explain to me how this crap got on the air?

All I have to say is this. "Red Sox Nation" is more annoying than anything the Yankees and their fans have EVER done. I am an Orioles fan yearning for the days of Yankee dominance .

NFL Week 7: You Mean There's A Football Team In Denver?
Kawalimus replied to CanadianChris's topic in Sports
See, I keep saying this but then when I say Billick shouldn't have a job e veryone calls me dumb. He is horrible coach, one of the worst in the NFL. Possibly THE worst. I hope that Bisciotti understands what he needs to do and ether put pressure on Billick again or fire him. -
It is obvious they are trying to expose Olberman to more conservative audience. I like Olberman but I don't want him on this show, it hurts him more than helps him but those network execs don't get that!! I bet Olberman does and I'd would be surprised if he wasn't begged to do this. Olberman is somebody I wanna hear talking about Politics not football.

If WWE went to a pay network had to pay watch it all the time I'd would stop watching wrestling period. And you say No network gonna take WWE but like I said it's easy to do that when there's no offer on the table. Look at The Wire season 2, Frank Sobotka said he was done dealing with those Greeks. But then when they offered pay him triple? He changed his mind. Just like it's easy for TBS to say now they wouldn't take wrestling, but when they get opportunity for many fans come in and watch their station, they will think harder .
-
Not only that how can anyone stand Cris Collinsworth's commentary? He is awful.
-
NFL it's time for you to get with it and DEFINE PASS INTERFERENCE. Make it clear what is what isn't. Show examples this year like that wasn't PI right there but called. And say why. That goes for offensive PI too.
-
And we might even get to 5-2 I know. But here's the thing season doesn't end until week 17. And we play like this we're not gonna beat Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh(twice), New England, Indianapolis, Seattle. Teams have gone out to a decent record at midseason then completely f allen apart, it's not that uncommon. I'm not saying wwe should lose but here's the thing, I want to see improvements so I don't have deal with my team possible 2nd half collapse. Which seems like what my Ravens are headed to right now.
-
I know I want em to win too. But see this 3 week stretch before the bye possible best team we're gonna b e facing is the BUFFALO BILLS. Now what does that say? Not good. Cause once we start facing those better teams and divisional matchups it's gonna go right south again.
-
Another horrible game played by Ravens offense. This team don't know what the hell it's doing. FIRE BILLICK NOW!!
-
Well look at the Sci Fi channel they put wrestling on. If I would said a year before ECW started that Sci Fi channel would had put em on nobody would believed me. It's different when there's no offer on the table. And mediocre sitcom comedy? That sound exactly up WWE's alley! Who knows maybe TBS and WWE is a happy marriage waiting to happen. And TNT drama? See that's wrestling for you right there. Nether of those networks has anything gonna draw in viewers. So once that offer is on the table it'll be harder for em to refuse if just now when the offer ain't there.
-
What does TBS have though? FRANK TV?? Their gimmick is "now that is funnY!" or something. That's not really prestigious. Maybe many network would but TBS with their low selections would love bring wrestling fans into the fold. Some networks might say no to wrestling but I guarantee you somebody would ready to snatch that up. Especially if Vince in a position where he has to concede some power influence to the network. Well then how come it still stands for Turner Broadcasting System if Turner ain't involved anymore??
-
I didn't know that. What the hell TBS stand for then? And then yeah so Vince probably would want move it there. And I bet TBS would welcome it with open arms. If they let FRANK TV on their station you know they will allow wrestling.
-
Yep see that's the thing, even though WWE's number lower for them, it's still enough as that first quote says, to make USA the "#1 cable network". Also ECW even with their low number made highest rated show on Sci Fi Channel for a while. So somebody would end up picking em up. Even in these down times WWE is still big enough name that somebody would jump the opportunity put em on. And if WWE had to I think they'd would make a concession and change from being on Monday Nights. What about TBS??? Can you imagine TED TURNER and Vince working together? I know it won't happen but would be funny to imagine

Problem is everyone knows Stephanie is the heir apparent to WWE. And USA and everyone knows that if wrestling is firing on all cylinders they are a great asset have on your station. So if USA starts giving Stephanie shit being in her position she is not gonna want stay around on USA in the future when she takes over. If USA really wanted get rid of wrestling they'd would do so, especially with all the bad thing happening lately. But USA really wants WWE to get better and become a Solid contender again. Cause then they know they draw viewers to their station. You can also say not only the ratings dwindled but the quality of the product dwindled. Which it did. See WWE is willing to blame everyone but themselves for the problems. Especially those at the top. Just like the Baltimore Orioles owner Peter Angelos blames the fans for not supporting. He blames the managers and fires them year after year. But he never says it's him and his family possibly causing all that trouble. WWE is just like the Baltimore Orioles a mess of an organization still makes a profit but on field or in ring product? Sunk.

Yeah that's what happened. They made Hornswoggle the son in that angle and it ended quick no big payoff or anything. THat's like ending the baseball playoffs after the wildcard round with no on-screen explanation. Yeah the internet fanbase knows why that happened. But what about the people don't r ead that internet news? All they're left with is disappointment.
-
Cause the fans were promised a big angle way back when Vince killed himself or pretended to. The fans wanted payoff. But then with the Benoit thing they had cancel that big payoff. But the fans still wanted it so then the Vince's son angle came to be. So the fans were expecting another big story, with wrestlers all over, all candidates interview, TONS time each week spending fans time they put aside to watch raw, that t ime being spent covering Vince's son storyline, close shows with revelations. But then cause of a setback instead of waiting for kennedy or just modifying that angle become a Giant development without Kennedy, they chose end it quick and disappointingly to get back at the newsletters for criticizing their actions in drug cases and also for spoiling developments in the son angle. So they betrayed their viewer trust in order to try make it more unpredictable just like WCW did. And look at that it hurt ratings just like WCW did. To fix this WWE is gonna have to set some of their egos aside and work toward a solution.
-
The source was the Figure Four Wrestling newsletter. You'll note it says "From F4W" under the quote. I don't think it's entirely fair to say the Hornswoggle deal was a spiteful act towards smart fans already aware of the angle's direction. They were hit with that whole pharmacy scandal fiasco and had to alter the Kennedy plans. Hornswoggle seemed like a way to end the whole storyline on a comedy note and move on. Oh sorry I missed that. Even if they had to alter Kennedy plans, Hornswoggle was not what WWE fans wanted. They wanted something big, as it was being advertised. Instead they got some crappy comedy thing even though I like Hornswoggle people wanted something groundbreaking from the product. You don't just take an angle supposed to be big and end it like that. That's taking a huge dump on your fans.
-
See I kept saying this over and over again. That's what happens when you betray the trust of your viewers. The Hornswoggle reveal was another betrayal of trust cause fans wanted something interesting but Vince did something dumb to spite the rumor mills cause they were correct about it. This exactly the sort thing that helped tank WCW, with them doing whatever they could to spite all the smarks and dirt rags. Now even when they bring out great surprises like HBK(which was a GREAT well done surprise), nobody gonna see it and they can only hope that some people trickle back in cause of that. But now people expect disappointment cause of things like Hornswoggle reveal and others. Keep in mind I don't hate Hornswoggle at all I think he is good character, but was used improperly there. And when people expect disappointment many of em gonna refrain from tuning in at all. WWE has a long hard road ahead of em when it comes to earning back that trust from fans. It might even be unattainable. USA is RIGHT to put the heat on WWE but WRONG to keep feeding em ideas. They should just say "look you guys need to get your shit together" and try let WWE fix itself. Unless they are purposely working WWE's massive egos in order to get excuse to drop em. But I don't think USA network Bonnie Hammer and them are that strategic. Cause look at what happened with Sci Fi Channel. Also--can we have a source on this? As right here it's just an quote.
