He recognized the fact that he was in the midst of the biggest push of his career and he knows that the timing couldn't have been worse. Although Regal has battled addiction problems over the years, multiple sources say they have not witnessed any signs of a relapse. However, WWE does not release specific details regarding their testing, so there's no way of knowing for sure what was discovered in his system. A company spokeswoman declined to comment on the positive test when contacted by the Hartford Courant earlier today. Powell's POV: Regal is known for taking supplements as part of his training and one source speculated that it's at least possible he unknowingly took something that contained a banned substance. Of course, that's a common excuse from mainstream athletes when they fail tests, but it can't be ruled out. I've spoken with people close to Regal who say they would be stunned if he were using again because he's shown no signs of relapsing. Again, though, nothing is official because the company does not release specific information regarding its drug suspensions.

That really sucks. Regal's drug use has always been surprising to me. He seems like the last guy on earth to do that type of thing if you watch him out of character. Not to mention the fact that he supposedly went through this campaign of getting clean. A shame he can't get it under control. Ironic thing about it though..when jeff made his return, in the storyline world regal said he had to pay for his sins. I guess the shoe is on the other foot now

I think the people missed his point. He said he has no problems with anyone leaving to make movies, his problem centered around the rock saying how he wanted to do this all his life and leave. I don't care much for cena as a wrestler or a character but I admire his love for the business. He obviously loves it more than most. He has had a hellicious schedule the last few years between wrestling and his movie stuff and for him to take up for it to this degree and say he would never leave to do something else, really shows he has the ric flair type love for the business in him.

I love orton...probably one of the bigger orton fans here and have been for a long while. But until they do something beyond the nauseating baby face character with cena, ie turn him heel, he absolutely bores me to death and just makes me roll my eyes. A lot of it isn't his fault though, it's the stupid writers that come up with the material for him to say. Maybe everyone is becoming conditioned to the current product, I don't know, but I just don't see how anyone finds cena entertaining right now or for the last year or two. It's the same act day in and day out with the same tired, goofy, and immature promos. Of course the usual come back and excuse is it's cool to hate cena. Well I didn't like his character long before "it was cool". It's frustrating to see how any criticism of him of late is always dismissed with this lame excuse/defense. Maybe you enjoy corny baby face characters, I do not.

Yeah it's one of the reasons he is so disliked among older fans. But I tell you, I often wonder if they intentionally try to make Cena look stupid with his awful lines and interview segments. They are so corny and so bad that they have to be aware of the reaction they will get. I suppose they care more about him getting a reaction period than him being cheered as a babyface but the longer it goes on the more I think it hurts him. But the thing is, since the wwe's change of direction toward kids and the style of the writers, there is no one who gives interviews that are so much better either so he can get away with it. If he had given those style of interviews back during the attitude era he would be a jobber to the stars. I hate to say it, but Cena was the only one who entertained me at all tonight. Everyone else = boring. Pretty sad testament of the product when cena is considered the most entertaining part of raw with him confronting regal consisted of reading mark emails from wwe.com, poop jokes, and the lame, corny, and tired "you are in the US" routine.

It's not too bad if the new song is good but what in the fuck has whoever is in charge of this been smoking? Every single new theme sucks. One thing wwe has always been good at is theme music but now...that's been flushed down the toilet all at once.

Nice setup for the turn..almost old school right there but Cade should have really laid into him. Although that first punch was awesome, in wrestling two punches don't mean much.

Another thing that would help mvp is getting a new finisher. His current one sucks. I've never been a fan of guys with finishers that take too long to set up. Plus his just doesn't look good/impressive. he needs something that looks like it does more damage and is quicker, unless he starts using a submission hold.

I don't know who's out there right now. I was just saying that among the pantheon of legendary WWF announcers, Jim-Ross-as-Raw-guy is the one I never really understood. Every since Lawler came back after Heyman left, he just seemed to go through the motions of belching out catchphrases and YELLING A LOT AT ALL TIMES. All the yelling, plus aging and smoking, has made his voice kind of unpleasant (especially next to Lawler's voice, which is also unpleasant) compared to the Jim Ross/Bob Caudle years. In all honesty, were I to watch wrestling again, I would want Vince McMahon to stop waddling around doing his self-indulgent Evil Owner schtick and just call matches like he used to. He has the only voice more synonymous with the WWF than Jim Ross, is more invested in selling the product than anybody, and really wasn't as bad as people made him out to be. I don't like Michael Cole either, and was just noting that he had all the time in the world to stop sucking (it took about five years, I think) while the Raw guys never had that sort of time. Each time Ross was replaced, the replacement was set up to fail. By having him "get fired" in a gimmick or whatever it was each time, that meant he was taken away and being withheld from the fans, and the new person (Styles, Coach) was immediately resented for being installed in Ross's stead. Ironically, Jerry Lawler was fired for real, so they stuck Paul Heyman in the color seat, and most people took to him. Nobody has ever explained to me why they always wanted to get rid of Jim Ross, yet were always quick to pull the plug on the replacement project. I think that is the first time I have ever seen someone say they prefer vince mcmcahon's announcing over jim ross. I absolutely HATED mcmahon at the booth. He was absolutely god awful. "what a maneuver!!!" "1..HE'S GOT HIM, 2!!!!..............no he doesn't." And the over the top excitement he had made him sound like a 5 year old kid. Now way back when in the early days he wasn't that bad but the 90s? simply terrible.

As bad as that makes Hayes look, that makes the Mcmahons look equally as bad for keeping someone like that around when they knew full well the type of stuff he says and the racist beliefs he obviously has.
