Tyler...seriously, you're relying on DOD intelligence for your defense?

we need to close this thread

That can be countered by the existence of mututations over time. Evolution and Theology are not mutually exclusive, imho. Doesn't it make sense that an omnipotent being would you know, design its creations in such a way that they can change accordingly to his will, and wouldn't it know how things will change. Eh. And I can't say that I've been called post-modernist before. I prefer the term Rortarian, actually. I was actually trying to say that those denouncing anyone doing religion was a fool, not that I actually believe post-modern dribble.
-
Regardless of how you feel about its "truth", being religious can provide alot of benefits for many different types of people, and if act like our criteria is going to be, does it help people, I'd say it helps alot, so you can't deny it. I think it's about this time that I offer anyone here Pascal's Wager. Don't know what it is, well find out. =) I tend to agree with SP, that alot of the English version is well...miswritten. There's truth in it. I won't go and say 100%, but there has to be some truth for it (and others) to have lasted so long. You can define what truth I'm talking about however you like.

it's cleavage people stop starting at them and spell correctly

Oh, and I thought the joke was on "Kerry's Comeback Plan"

At least GaTech is ranked. I think Boise is too high, Fresno is about right, and Purdue is a little high. OU should be a tad higher

Don't forget 2000. Different style of predetermined, but still... Oh give me a fucking break Cartman... If you actually would read about 2000, you'd KNOW the Florida Supreme Court overstepped its boundaries (separation of powers) as per the second article of the constitution which grants to the state's legislatures the power to run elections...That was the SC's concurring opinion in Gore vs. Bush. Regardless of the fact that 1) Gore requested undervotes when he really should have requested overvotes 2) Independent surveys done afterwards SHOW that any recount Gore would have requested more than likely would NOT have given Florida to Gore. 3) Every action down there was done in the bounds of legality as put in by the Florida Constitution and the US Consitution... Give me an ever-living break. If you really want to bring shit like this up again and again...talk about 1960 and Kennedy rigging TWO states and Nixon decided it was in the national interest to not protest (before Nixon was an asshole) Friggin Jesus Christ...

It's Houston... No offense, but I'll look forward to Texas v Oklahoma

These dailies are bouncing around...Just a week ago bush had the 270. Replacing one poll with another and saying they're the same may not be the right judgement call Election's close, that's all I can say. Looking at their map though, I don't buy NM going D when just a week ago it was decently in the Bush states list. And thanks Tyler, but could you have found a nonpartisan site? If they didn't apply a weight, then they're idiots and I'll agree with ya. sjp

It was insane in our sports bar with those last few minutes...most of the gt club up here in dc had left, but about 10 of us remained...that was one of the best comebacks tech has had... what damn good receivers we have
-
While my signatures vary, I know the way I form the first letters of my first and last name don't change... This is all bullshit...Are there no issues worth discussing of relevance today... i hate politics

JOTW I can't imagine that the Time poll which sampled more republicans doesn't weight its results...You're assuming they're using simple statistics, which they don't. There's alot of background and science that we aren't aware of in polling

Kerry under investigation for possible medal fraud
Stephen Joseph replied to a topic in Current Events
This goes out to Urine Sane Teke isn't an economist, but he's 100% right on the money with everything he said. Even the graphs he posted proved his point beyond a shadow of a doubt. You've got to understand the difference between nominal dollars and real dollars. Anything in economics we want to know about will deal in real dollars, as Teke used. However, I will correct Teke on one thing. The economy did experience two consecutive quarters of negative economic growth prior to 9/11. However, all trends pointed to a recovery that was occuring when the events of 9/11 transpired, shocking the economy and sending it back into recession. You'll find it hard to argue against the fact that whatever happened in the early 1980s stimulated the greatest and longest growth period this country has ever seen. -
Hey man, from one geek to another. TSM had an affair with Mulder's mother, if I recall. Mulder's father had to decide which child to give up, he gave up Mulder's sister. I can't remember what the deal was with Scully, excepting she did have cancer. It all ended with the knowledge that they couldn't stop the invasion from happening, and they knew the date. So I imagine M&S boinked like rabbits and wound up dying doing something stupid to stop it, but thats just extrapolation.

Life is precious and I'm sorry, but at 18 you're thinking you're the shit and ain't nothing going to happen to you driving 90 mph around a corner. So no, this is stupid

So then, why the huge gap between Likely Voter and Registered Voter? Show me the gap and the confidence intervals surrounding.

I'm now taking bets on a Miller v. Carter duel
Stephen Joseph replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
I would more compare it to Reagan/Mondale honestly. Completely one-sided Carter's such a pacifist he'd probably talk himself to death -
I've several friends in the DC area who were outside their buildings and heard/saw the plane hit. It hit. Why isn't there alot? Planes crashing cause big booms. Lots of fire. It also...kinda...went into a building? Not very hard for me to believe at all. Jeezus, we all SAW the planes hit the towers. An alumni I knew died in that. Anyone proferring up conspiracy theories such as the one above can just ... I'm not saying it. This stuff pisses me off.

That's the problem of using multiple polls and treating them as exact substitutes...they're not. You can't just update a Reuters poll with a Zogby. Different biases.
-
That's stereotyping?... No KKK, that's the truth, Ruth
-
No JOTW, even with the tension, its still a good sample. Again, statistically speaking, the chances of a pool of likely voters being significantly biased against the population set of voters on Nov. 4th is miniscule. Statistics are much better than opinions

I thought Zell was a Gov for 8 and a Lt Gov for 8
