1) Cherone was a gimmick right...Aren't you allowed 1 gimmick and then if you bring in another, then if that one is banned, then you're banned? 2) I'd hardly call Mario and threads equally hazing. Right now this seems like its on kinda sandy ground. Any better reasons?

So I work at the Department of Justice... Yesterday was fun...I'd like to share with all you why I was disgusted with the protesting going on. Protestors marched against Roe vs. Wade. That's the headline. It is very deceiving. 1) 90% of those in the protest were 16 or younger. Did we have independent thoughts at 16 and a wealth of information to base an opinion on...No. Neither do they. 2) They were bused in by schools. Schools that are supposed to be teaching about algebra, reading, history. NOT participating in national politics. 3) Shit, most weren't even through puberty. All in all, we were invaded by private religious schools with chaperones and their classes. If America cared about the debate, then why the hell did I not see people of every age really well representated. It's because America doesn't. Look at the proportion of civil rights marches here in the 1960s. Then look at the march yesterday. They're entirely different. I can't believe kids got used like that. Anyone else see it going on?

To Olympic, Umm dood. Communism's dead. There's no threat from that type of political system anymore. Period. Learn something about history will you? You're confusing systems of government and thought with american paternalism. Someone should really learn a bit before spousing off on subjects like they know it. *sigh, but then again, No one listens to the economists* And if you would like to call me, ohhh leftist, then you're way off base. I'm not, I listen to Hannity, and have since he started in Atlanta. Now, you claim this leftist thought is the greatest danger to America? It's not. The greatest danger to America are extremeist thoughts on BOTH sides of the spectrum... America is NOT one single concept that forever stays the same. Our founding fathers realized this, and created a document that could change as society changed. Society changes because our ability to produce changes. Making America adhere to one thought, one ideology, and one way of living will kill America. They way you talk, it seems like you want to champion freedom. You only champion silence. -
ressurection also rhymes with insurrection, a porn store in atlanta, and i have a friend in atlanta named johnson. 3 too!

in addition, the government could offer a prize to be payable in the future for any private organization to establish a permanent moon base, in between the amount that it would take the government to do it and what a private org can...a prize in the middle would be less cost to taxpayers and yet more profit for the org., effectively buying the base from the private org who likely would be able to do it cheaper and faster...and then thusly making a handsome profit from the buyout

1) A space program has some many damn positive externalities that a private company wouldn't be able to capture better than the goverment, because benefits fall to all of America in the long-run because of new tech/research etc... 2)We spend a shitload on programs that the government has no economic benefit to provide...plain and simple. 3)Prior space program work created so many damn numerous innovations and techs that its nearly impossible to come up with a dollar amount figure on its impact...its called technology advancement 4) THERE WILL ALWAYS BE DOMESTIC PROBLEMS. OUR WORLD IS NOT PERFECT NOR WILL EVER BE...Don't use the imperfect world argument...its baseless... 5) Hoagland's a smart man. /Government should provide that which has positive externalities that are difficult to capture on an individual basis if privatized. Good examples most economists can agree on are Defense, Transportation, a decent amount support for Education. I highly encourage anyone who doesn't think this is a good idea to learn economics.

And THAT'S why I love the ACLU. While I might disagree with their cases half of the time, the fact they don't give a fuck about political orientation or orientation in general is awesome. Some dead guys who wrote something awhile ago would be proud

Stallion, perhaps I can give you an idea. Right now I'm a master's student in Economics and I work as an Researcher for the government. I choose economics but my real curiousity is in history, much like how you make it sound. There's actually a subset field call historical economics, and its basically analyzing historical questions utilizing various economic theory. There's alot of research opportunities in this area in a variety of fields...most every company wants to understand past trends and how they've changed into the present and will go for the future. That's my knowledge on alternate things on history
